    Slann
    Bsb,
    Crown of Command
    , Dispel Scroll
Focus of Mystery, Higher State of Consciousness
    , Obsidian Amulet

    2 x 24 Saurus Warriors
    Musician, standard.

    5x10 Skink Skirmishers

    50 Skinks 5x Kroxigor

    2 x10 chamelons

    4 terradons

    3 salamanders extra handlers

an alternate would be to drop the Terradons and add 6 more Saurus to each unit.Got a tournament with crazy comp coming up that really limits my slann. And trying skrox unit for the first time.

If you want more Saurus, I'd say take the points from that Skrox unit. No one is going to want to fight it as is. Dropping a Krox and 11 Skinks will give you enough for 10 more Saurus. Not too bad.

For your comped Slann, usually Crown + Higher State is one of the first things banned. People don't like a Stubborn Rerollable Ld 9 unhittable character very much. :smug:

So I'm absolutely not an expert, but here's my take:

This is a really expensive Slann that seems completely defensive (Crown, Higher State, and Obsidian = 130 points to make your Slann harder to kill). At least where I am, the combo is banned, but more pressingly, it just seems like this Slann could be a lot more threatening with a more aggressive setup (rumination, at least).

    Fine.

Between this and the next unit, you have a LOT of Skink. Not that they're not great, but there's a point of diminishing returns, especially when you have relatively few Saurus and no combat hero.

This is a ton of points in one unit; at the very least taking command would be worth it, but I think you'd get essentially the same utility out of a 3 Krox 30 Skink block for much cheaper.

I'd prefer 3x6 camos for more flexibility, but your call.

Anything these guys do, camos do better for less, in my (noobish) opinion. At the very least with the changes in 8th edition I think a unit of 3 is probably more efficient (someone in the forums did the math, I'll try to dig out a link).

Fine, though personally in a 2500 point game I'd prefer 2x2.

My advice: go with 4x10 Skirmishers, 30 skink/3 krox, 3x6 camo, and lose a terradon. This saves 334 points, which is enough to add a significant amount of punch to your army without losing much functionality. In fact, if you really like Skroxigor, that's enough points for a second 35 skink/3 krox unit! Alternatively, that gets you a couple tricked out heroes or a block of temple guard; anyways, all those things (to me) sound more useful.

    Hope this helps!

What lifestar is pretty accurate, but dont be fooled into thinking that camos>Terradon, they serve quite different purposes,
Terradons are good at dealing with small units of chaff while chamos are better at high toughness low armour monsters and they both do war machine hunting well albeit in different manners

You should use the Terradons to go after units like skinks (or the equivalent in other armies) often long range, move, double tap and skirmisher will make camos lose poison so only 5 or 6 shots will be taken, the ability to do 3d3 strength 4 auto hits is pretty good, will wipe out/cause panic in small units of skirmishers, obviously this isnt very good against monsters, where camos come in.

Also against warmachine, you should charge warmachines with terradons, they shouldnt be wiped out and usually win eventually (in my experience) and while tied up in combat, the war machine cannot fire. obvioulsly very different to the stand off and shoot approach that camos have

However I always run them in 3's not 4's

The defensive slann is something I just never could wrap my head around.

Definitely thin out the skrox unit and beef up the saurus.

I agree with smaller sized camo units for mobility sake. and 2x2 sallies is a better set up.

But a lot of how the list works is based around play style. LM have the tools and units to run different strats, so if it works i say go for it. let us know how it went.
