Seems my previous post got lost somehow!?
So I will just try again.

Hi! I am new to this forum, although I have been lurking in the dark for some time! :pompus:
This list I have been toying around with, is supposed to be a "fun" list, with a bit of everything. In my club we play the 2500-3000 pointrange, and there are a lot of Empires, Ogres, Vampire Counts and Elves around! Therefore I dont want any Stegadon, since my experience is that they die from either ld-ship tests (terrorgheist/death) or cannons/warmachines too fast to do anything.

    LORDS:

    Slann (Death) w.
    - BSB
    - Harmonic Convergence
    - Channeling Staff

    Oldblood w.
    - Arabyan Carpet
    - Armour of Fortune
    - Dragonbane gem
    - Halberd

    HEROES:

    Skink Priest (Heaven) w.
    - Cube of Darkness

    Skink Priest (Beast) w.
    - Dispell Scroll

    Skink Chief w.
    - Ripperdactyl
    - Egg of Quango
    - Enchanted Shield
    - Spear
    - Light Armour

    Scar Veteran w.
    - Cold One
    - Glittering Scales
    - Sword of Striking
    - Shield
    - Luckstone

    Scar Veteran w.
    - Cold One
    - Dawn Stone
    - Great Weapon
    - Dragonhelm

    CORE:

    35 x Saurus Warriors w.
    - Full Command

    10 Skink Skirmishers w.
    - Blowpipes

    10 Skink Skirmishers w.
    - Javelin and Shields

    10 Cohort skinks w.
    - Banner
    - Poison attacks

    SPECIAL:

    2 x 5 Chamelion Skinks

    Bastiladon w.
    - Solar engine

    20 x Temple guards w.
    - Full Command

    RARE:

    Salamander

I know the list is a bit Heavy on Characters, but I have my point allocated on 7 models, which should help with the redundancy. I wanted something to do in every phase of the game. I got a medicore magicephase (Strong on the defensive side though) and 4 combat characters, 2 of them whom can fly!
I could'nt decide on what kind of skinks to use, so I decided to go with a bit of everything, to see how they work!
I want this list to be an Allcomers, do you think it stands a chance?
Please place a comment, everything will be appreciated :D

Welcome to the forum! Seems like a fairly good list. I would like to see more salamanders though. Not sure where you would squeze out the points for them though.

Looks pretty good. I'm running 5 fighting characters and 2 level 2 beast priests; along with saurus cav, krox, and 3 monsters (2x bastiladons and 1 engine of the gods).

I want force my opponent to have to choose between defending against the monsters/monstrous infantry/monstrous beasts, and trying to keep a handle on the characters.

I'll let you know how slaanless works for me.

In order to get another salamander, I could cut down four Temple guards and 2 Chameleon Skinks (The remaining would be one unit of 8, instead of 2 units of 5 ) - This free up exactly 80 points, which I could use on a salamander.
    Is that better? :)

Okay, so I tried the list and ended up having a draw against an Ogreplayer!
I liked my initial setup, with many characters, but I will defiantly have to put in some more hitingpower in this list!
My army had something to do in every phase, which I was really fond of. But instead of my Death-Slann, I will have to chance to High-magic, for more versatillity (It's an allcomers after all :) )

    @ Arli:
I Appreciated your advice on getting another Salamander, so I will defiantly keep it!

As for now, my current list will look something like this:

    LORDS:
    Slann w.
    - Harmonic Convergence
    - Focus of Mystery
    - Channeling Staff
    - BSB

    Oldblood w.
    - Cold One
    - Glittering Scales
    - Dawnstone
    - Great weapon

    HEROES:
    Skink Priest w.
    - Cube Of Darkness

    Skink Priest w.
    - Dispel Scroll

    Scar Veteran w.
    - Cold One
    - Gamblers Armour
    - Other Tricksters Shard
    - Great Weapon

    Skink Chief w.
    - Ripperdactyl
    - Egg Of Quango
    - Spear
    - Light Armour
    - Enchanted Shield
    - Dragonbane Gem

    Skink Chief w.
    - Ripperdactyl
    - Dragonhelm
    - Light Armour
    - Shield
    - Spear

    CORE:
36 x Saurus Warriors w. Either deployed 6x6 with spears or 7x5+1 with handweapons (got mixed models)
    - Full Command

    2 x 10 Skink Skirmishers w.
    - Javelin & Shield

    10 Skink Skirmishers w.
    - Blowpipes

    SPECIAL:
    Bastildason w.
    - Solar Engine

    5 x Chamelions

    16 x Temple Guards w.
    - Full Command

2 x Jungle Swarms I wanted to try these in the list. They may help me against any monsters attacking my Sauruses or Templeguards

    RARE
    1 x Salamander

    1 x Salamander

Comes down to exactly 2500 points!

So the idea in the list remains the same, still have four combat characters, now they are all immune to stomp. And I have two "cheap" chiefs, that I can use for redirecting, warmachine hunting and mage hunting (Using the Elves "Eagle tactic"). Yes they may have Frenzy, but I can turn the models around, and each of them has at least 6 attacks! (3 of them with KB.)

I really feel that this is an improved list, hope I will win some games with it. - Ill let you know :)
