Slann (life) 3 Disciplines: Focus of Mystery Mocused Rumination Becalming Cogitation BsB Standard of Discipline Cupped Hands Bane Head Skink Priest Feedback Scroll 24 Saurus Warriors Banner + Musician 24 Saurus Warriors Banner + Musician 10 Skinks 32 Temple Guard Full Command Banner of Eternal Flame Stegadon Stegadon 8 Chameleons 1 Salamander 1 Salamander Soooo, bane head on an enemy wizard and feedback scroll so i only need to 5s to kill him, thought this was an extremely neat idea. Temple guard block is that big for the purpose of, I HATE THIRTEENTH SPELL, and because it will make it extremely hard for any unit to chew through it(they have killed bloodthirsters ). Anyway this is my list and i was hoping to get some feedback so all comments and criticism is welcome and greatly appreciated. Cheers, Billy
I dont think banehead and feedback scroll can stack if they are on different wizards I think with banehead it is wounds caused by the user are doubled... so the wounds from cupped hands would double but not the feedback scroll. Why wouldnt you swap the standards on your templeguard and slann around. This would mean that the Slann can emitt a 12 inch Ld10 bubble rather then the Ld9 restriction on inspiring presence the banner puts there. (check the rulebook FAQ for clarification on this) In my opinion Cube of Darkness > Feedback scroll being able to shut down a magic phase early when people dont expect it can be awesome. I would probably drop a stegadon for 3 more salamanders as they are awesome. Run them 2x1 2x1 1x1 Maybe drop a unit of Saurus for a Skrox unit as the extra 4 inches a turn would help as your army has VERY little speed. with no mounted scar vets, no terradon riders, not many skinks etc.
He doesn't count as an officially large target. Only for the purposes of Line of Sight. (He floats up to cast and then hunkers back down). So I think it'd still be 12 inches. Pretty sweet list, what are the Stegs armed with? Pipes or Bow?
The slann is not a large target at all that has been FAQ:ed. Now he floats upp so that his LOS is just above the heads of the TG guarding him. In no way does the current rules suggest he is a large target. He can use the 10LD for his "inspiring precense" no matter wheter he or the TG has the banner. the banner prevents the unit itself to take advantage of the generals leadership. It doesnt effect how the general transfers his LD to other units. I agree with Hivor that all wounds are not doubled but only those caused by the feedback scroll. Still, since a caster is likely to lose 2 wounds because of cupped hands+bane head they are likely to die from feedback nevertheless. Other than that it is a very good list which will be hard to beat with any army, some might even considder it cheese, even though it could probably be improved a litle if your goal only is to win.
okay thanks for all the replies, first off, i did not realise bane head is wounds caused by the bearer so not to big a deal, i just have to boune a miscast first but in all seriousness i think i will drop the bane head and drop the feedback scroll to a dispel scroll so it gives me 30 more points to play with. Also the stegs in my list are all regular stegs just for clarification. i love stegs and i do own more and i want to find a way to fit it back into the list, what are your opinions on the temple guard? Too big? Just right? Should i drop some and make room for a steg? Again thanks for all the replies keep them comming. Cheers, Billy
