With the chamelon skinks shielding the front and the barbed razordons preventing any fast calv from baiting the main unit. So my plan is basically walk right up to them and charge my deathstar into their main unit. the frienzied templeguard and stegadon should be able to take care of most obstacles. the frienzied saurus lord should be able to take care of most heroes (6 attacks). And i feel that magic defence is quite adquate, along with the AoE 5+ wardsave should be adequate ranged protection as i close in for the kill. Please give me some feedback regarding weaknesses and problems to this list
Well you kinda lack skink skirmishers, they are pretty vital. Movement 4 death stars are easy as hell to dodge, and yours have frenzy. A smart player will make you chase fast cav for 6 turns after getting rid of your skink screen, and if you get marsh blocked its gonna take forever to get anywhere. Blessed totem is ok, but you REALLY need the war drum if you ever want to see combat with this unit. Screening with cammo skinks is pretty ineffecient, sure they are hard to hit, but if someone chucks a Fire blast or any other 2D6 S4 hits they are gone in 2-3 spells. The problem with this death star is that is too easy to dodge, too easy to bait, too easy to force to persue or overrun into a bad position to be effecient. On top of that the unit isnt immune to panic, it isnt unbreakable or stubborn and it only has LD 8. If you get baited and flanked by some heavy hitter you are gonna have some serious problems, and your BSB is a large target so it can be picked out by shooting & spells (stegs are FAR from hard to kill for any army with bolt throwers, cannons or decent magic). If you want a death star I think a CoC star would be more effecient, but LM aren't really a good death star army, unless you play a 20 TG FC unit with a BSB Slann and 2-3 scar vets in it, wielding Blessed totem, Jaguar standard and the war drum.
