I've got a comp coming up in a month. I need to sort out a good build for the oldblood on carno and scarvet cowboy. This is what ive put together so far, trying to keep a balance between mobility and hammers to support the infrantry. Oldblood-carno, Loping stride, bloodroar, GW, AoD, dawnstone, ironcurse High Magic loremaster Slann-bsb, standard of discipline, channel staff, obsid. amulet, Focus. Becalming. & Harmonic. scarvet- CO, GW, LA, steg helm 31 suarus FC sword n board 4x10 skirmishers- javs Baby steg sharp. horns 5 CoC, musician, standard, spears 26 TG's- FC, warrior bane, flame banner. currently I have been taking a high master slann and solar bassy but im finding im using the dice before i get a chance to use him. So i dropped him and a unit of rippers to get the CoC and a magic res. on the slann bunker.
Hmm, I'm always hesitant about the Flaming Banner. I'd rather have the Warbanner. Also the Banner of Discipline might be overkill. You're already re-rollable Ld9 and Stubborn. That's like a 99.7% chance of success vs 99.9%. I'd be willing to risk 0.2% Then again I don't really know what that would do to your comp score.
