8th Ed. 2750 pts Tournament - Shadow skirmish list

    Hey friends
    I am testing now a new list for tournament, where will dominate armies, like beastmen, ogres, vampires and orks. Some high and dark elves. But, not so much heavy artillery armies, like empire, or dwarves.

    Idea is simple. Fast moving, heavy shooting army, a lot of flying behind enemy lines with oldblood, or EoG. The shadow slann eventually on the side of enemy line, for pendulum and mirrors and smoke.

    Slann Mage-Priest
    Lore of Shadow, Focus of Mystery, Focused Rumination, Higher State of Consciousness, Becalming Cogitation, Cupped Hands of the Old Ones

    Saurus Oldblood - Burning Blade of Chotec, Armour of Destiny

    HEROES
    Saurus Scar-Veteran - GW, BSB, Armour of Fortune, Luckstone, Ironcurse Icon

    Skink Priest - EOG, Level 2, Dispel Scroll, Dawnstone

    CORE
    35x Saurus Warriors - hw and sh, FCG

    4*10x Skink Skirmishers - Blowpipe

    If you have some ideas, please post it. I am thinking about more cc units, but I haven't enough experiences with this point format.

    I like the list. I am a fan of using Skink units. I know that the slann is kitted out to be solo, I would probably put him in the saurus unit anyway (especially against Dwarves). I would also give the slann the standard of discipline (that would make the saurus a poor man's TG).

    Yes, he occasionally (dwarfs, or helf sisters) will be in unit, but in this percentage I haven't points for slann bsb, because of oldblood and bsb scar-vet.

    What is better idea by you for saur bsb, common bsb with magic items, or magic bsb with common items?

    And last point, when I put slann with resistance on nonmagical attacks in front of stegy / stegies (all in one line). And nonmagical cannonball hit the slann, cannonball doesn't continue, because, if cannonball hit a model with more wounds and doesn't kill it, cannonball doesn't continue.
    I think thank to this I can give stegy one turn more, what you are thinking about it?

    Yesterday, I tried this army versus OaG. My opponent had lord on wywern, 2 blocks of orks with shaman in first one and bsb in second one LVL 4, 1 block of savages. 1 block of black orks, 2*5 of wolf riders, 2 chariots, 2 wagons, night goblins with fanatics and shaman and lot of artillery,2 chukas, 2 divers and catapult.
    Map was random deploy. This was problem, because I have all unit on left side and slann was alone on right side, then my first round was only about going to place, where I wanted them all.
    My enemy stretched his forces in one line along his side of table, then no place for my chammos, they occupied wall and forest directly opposite wolf riders.
    Shortly, thank 2 skink kamikadze charges (with shadow hexes, skinks can hold big blocks for a turn, or two) and redirectors, I did holes in his line for stegos, heavy supported by magic, broke all block of orks (seriously softed by skinks and salies) and saurus with oldblood easily killed chariots and wagon and battle was mine.

    Now I am thinking about replacing cupped hands for earthing rod for more dices, because this army need hexes every turn and slann wasn't able to cast shadow pit, mindrazors or pendulum with one exception (pit on wywern, bud was canceler by scroll) throughout the whole game.
