8th Ed. 2800 for an ucoming tournament!

    Hi guys,

    Just throwing this out there for some C&C.

    Slann
    - Wandering Deliberations
    - Harmonic Convergence
    - Channelling Staff
    - BSB

    Gor-Rok

    Scar Vet
    - Armour of Fortune
    - Other Trickster’s Shard
    - Cold One
    - Great Weapon

    Skink Priest (Beasts)
    - Cloak of Feathers
    - Level 2

    Skink Priest (Beasts)
    - Cube of Darkness
    - Level 2
    - Ancient Stegadon

    Saurus Warriors x 38
    - Full command

    Skink Skirmishers x 12 (3 units of)

    Chameleon Skinks x 6 (3 units of)

    Bastiladon
    - Solar Engine

    Ancient Stegadon
    - Blowpipes

    Salamander (2 units of)

    Whole load of drops, and a good chunk of mobility. I am kinda restricted by models (no temple guard/terradons) but hoping I can get away with it.

    Long story short, 3 shots at Wyssans to boost the Saurus, and a flying skink to channel those sweet, sweet missiles from the Slann, and a bunch of big dinos to look scary Oh, and Gor Rok, partly for the Stubborn and T6 tanking, but mainly for the bitchin' model.

    Slann, scar-vet and Gor Rok hang out in the Saurus unless they need to scuttle out for whatever reason.

    Thoughts? Workable? Bail and quit Warhammer?

    I think this list is definitely workable. You have good magic support, some heavy hitters for your Saurus block, Skinks for redirecting and war machine hunting, and enough big targets so that at least some of your dinosaurs have the opportunity to do some damage to the enemy.
