I think the Slann needs more support. Right now you have invested fairly heavily in magic, but with only wizard won't really be that powerful. You need a priest or two, maybe one on engine, to support him. Also scrolls are your friends, you will get smashed by magic heavy armies.

Temple guard, increase them to 16 so the make 4 ranks of 5 with the Slann in there?

Cold ones, why 8? 2 ranks of 4 makes no sense since you get no bonus, 8 across is way too wide and unweildy and leaving a couple at the back makes them pretty useless. Having said that I use 8 for my HE dragon princes, 6 in the front and 2 at the back. They are a powerful hard hitting unit that includes a magic banner so they can charge head on into units and win, the extra two are to absorb missile fire and maybe give me outnumber easier. You need to define what role oyu want for cavalry, do you want a powerful front line unit or a support unit? If oyu want a frontline unit, I would drop one of the units (giving you lots of free points for other things) and add the warbanner to the remaining one, to make it even more powerful. It will be able to break opponents pretty well on the charge.

If you want a support unit, drop them to 5 or 6 models and get rid of the standards, maybe champs too. Then use them for flanking and to support your infantry blocks. Up to you.

Looks alright besides those two small tweaks.

Yeah, I was iffy about the cold-ones. I do want them for support mostly, so I'll go with what you said.

The only comment I have at the moment is that you can't have more than one of the same magic item, so the skink priests are illegal...

I haven't got the book at hand, but I am fairly sure you would save a lot of points by not giving the Temple Guard champ the magic weapon, they are usually much better off in the hands of heroes and his halberd is sufficient for him to be quite deadly as it is for a unit champ.

That should get you a lot closer to 2k, then you could just drop a cold one knight or two to get there. On the other hand, you might be better served dropping one entire unit of knights and sticking one of the priests on an engine, then you get massive support from the steg, he becomes level 3, your magic becomes fantastic and you get all the abilities of the engine to boost your army. Might need to make the remaining knight unit 5 models instead of 6 to get the points for it. Depends on what you want in your army though, and remember everyone is new to 7th ed so experiment with a few lists in battle and see how they go to decide if it is any good or not. I have been trying to keep my advice pretty basic in that regards and leaving the units up to your, everyone has their own style.
