Gonna try this this weekend agains wood elves or Bretonnia === Hexoatl [2000 pts] Warhammer: The Old World, Lizardmen === ++ Characters [888 pts] ++ Saurus Oldblood [407 pts] - Hand weapon - Scaly Skin (counts as heavy armor) - Shield - General - on Carnosaur - Talisman of Protection - Blade of Revered Tzunki Saurus Scar-Veteran [361 pts] - Great weapon - Heavy armour (Scaly skin) - Shield - Battle Standard Bearer [War Banner] - Carnosaur - Glyph Necklace Skink Priest [120 pts] - Hand weapon - Light armour (Calloused hide) - Level 2 Wizard - On foot - Lore Familiar - Elementalism ++ Core Units [636 pts] ++ 24 Saurus Warrior [381 pts] - Hand weapons and shields - scaly skin (counts as heavy armour) - Shieldwall - Spawn Leader (champion) - Standard bearer - Musician 12 Skink Skirmishers [70 pts] - Hand weapons - Javelins - Shields - Light armour (Calloused hides) - Scouts 12 Skink Skirmishers [70 pts] - Hand weapons - Javelins - Shields - Light armour (Calloused hides) - Scouts 12 Skink Skirmishers [60 pts] - Hand weapons - Javelins - Shields - Light armour (Calloused hides) 11 Skink Skirmishers [55 pts] - Hand weapons - Javelins - Shields - Light armour (Calloused hides) ++ Special Units [476 pts] ++ 1 Bastiladon [175 pts] - thunderous bludgeon and Solar Engine - Skink Crew (x3) with hand weapons and Javelins (required) 1 Bastiladon [175 pts] - thunderous bludgeon and Solar Engine - Skink Crew (x3) with hand weapons and Javelins (required) 3 Ripperdactyl Riders [126 pts] - Cavalry spears - Shields - Light armour (Calloused hides) - Ripperdactyl Champion For spells i will mostly use wind blast and plague of rust.
My suggestion is less skinks and at least a power scroll OR wand of jet. Is quite difficult to cast with only +1 now. I would also remove the champion at rippers, en extra skink attack is nothing, and you can get challenged away instead of attack a magician in the enemy unit.
Wand of Jet is absolute garbage. 45 points as it's as likely to blow up then to allow one spell cast that otherwise wouldn't. Skinks are also ordinary in 1.5. by all means take some but not that many. Rippers i suspect won't be good. They rely on their charge and they used to only b good for infantry but now I think they won't be able to cause a FBIGO on a standard infantry block. Remains to be seen.
