I have a 2k battle against rats on Saturday. I am torn between two lists. One with a Old blood on Carnosaur and another with everyone's favorite frog. Here are the lists: Carnosaur list: Lord: Old Blood on Carnosaur extra hand weapon glittering scales Aura of Quetzl Crown of command heroes: Skink chief on Ancient Steg with War spear BSB Skink Priest plaque of tepok (only magic in the list) Core: Saurus warriors x 21 full command with spear Skink cohorts x11 with krox and full command x2 Special Chameleon x 6 Chameleon x 7 Rare: 2 units of 2 Salamanders with extra snack Now the Slann List... Lord: Slann BSB with banner of discipline Cupped hands Becalming Cogitation Focus of Mystery Focus Rumination Lore of Life probably, but I do like Light as well (Thought about shadow though) Heroes: Scar vet gold sigil Sword Glittering scales Skink Chief Javelin Fencers blades venom of the firefly frog Core: Saurus warriors x 27 full command (spear-first time that I will be trying them out in 8th without HW for the parry save) the scar vet goes in this unit Skink cohorts x 23 with full command Special: Temple Guard x 20 full command (Huanchi's banner) Chameleon skink 2 units of 6 Rare: Salamander x2 with extra snack Salamander x 1 with extra snack I am hesitant to take the Carnosaur list because of the lack of magic in that unit. However, the Skaven player is going to be expecting me to take a Slann. I tried out the skink chief last week and he worked amazingly well against HE. The skink cheif also gives the carnosaur a better chance of getting into close combat. Hopefully, my chameleons will take care of any warp fire cannons. What do you guys think?
Couple questions: 1) Are you expecting any Abominations, and 2) If so, what's your plan for dealing with them? They throw a wrench in the gears of my plan unless I prep for them, and even then they cause trouble.
No, he normally does not play any abominations. I may see a doom wheel or something like a warpfire cannon.
Get rid of the extra hand weapon on the Carno Old Blood. +1 attack is specifically for models on foot. So either a halbard or spear. And HPA are just annoying as fook. And I'm going to a tourny this evening through to saturday (Warhammer World again yay!) and with the new release of that model.....big bad hairy b*ll*cks Lloyd
