Hey, this is my first shot at a Lizardmen list, and I don't have most of the models, just speculating as to which models to buy.
    Lords:
    Slann Mage-Priest: 350
    -Focus of Mystery
    -The Focused Rumination
    -BSB
    -Blood Statuette of Spite
    -Lore of Life
-Goes in unit of Temple Guard
    Heroes:
    Scar Veteran: 128
    -Light Armor
    -Shield
    -Piranha Blade
    -Goes in unit of Saurus
    Skink Priest: 150
    -Level 2
    - Dispel Scroll
    -Cloak of Feathers
    Core:
    Saurus Warriors (29): 378
    -Spears
    -Full Command
    Skink Skirmishers (10): 70
    Skink Skirmishers (12): 84
    Special:
    Temple Guard (20): 355
    -Full Command
    Cold One Cavalry (5): 185
    -Musician
    Rare:
    Razordon Hunting Pack (2): 150
    Salamander Hunting Pack (2): 150

    Total: 2000
My plan is to use the temple guard, saurus, and salamanders as my main units in the center of the field while the skinks move forward to harass. The Razordons and cold one riders will hold up the flanks. I was considering dropping the cold one knights and using the points to get a magic banner for the temple guard and beef out the scar vet. I know the cloak of feathers isn't optimal, but I love the model so that is gonna stay in the list.
    Thanks for your help,
    Rory

I would split the salamanders and razordons into singles, you will get alot more out of them that way. Also razordons are a great speedbump unit. March first turn, then move and shoot second and get charged using stand and shoot.

Cold Ones really aren't very good. I would drop them and buy some Chameleons for Warmachine/Lone Hero hunters. They are also great at peppering the flanks of horde units.

I also agree with Momus, you don't really gain much by lumping the Sallies and Razors together.

Also on paper spears seem great but in practice not so much. You don't get the bonus if you charge. Parry has saved me so many times I don't think I will ever use anything but a HW/Shield again. If I could use them on my TG I would.

I will definitely split up the sallies and razordons, thanks for that. I'm going to keep the spears as it costs what 30 points? and I don't really have anywhere else to spend it on. I think your right about the cold one cavalry, with those points I'm going to redo the Scar-Vet build and give an extra handler to the hunting packs.
