So have a really important tourney coming up and want some opinions or ideas on this list
Slann
Skink starpriest
Astrolith bearer
Eotg
Knight incantor
10 skinks
10skinks
10 skinks
4 razordon
10 chameleons
6 rippers
Shadowstrike
Everblaze comet

List looks great.

However, you are bit pulled in two directions. I don't know that EotGs is needed in Shadowstrike. I would either go more towards the assassination or more towards summoning.

What would you suggest either way. This tourny is like a best of the best

you could try a 2nd EotG instead of the slann gives you more rippers and mortal wound generation. Also remember you need a ripper unit at the start of the game to be on the board to be able to place a toad.

points left over if you got a razordon, if not you get extra CP's.

Wasn't that clarified in a FAQ lately?
Ah there it is. In the Battletome designer's commentary:

Q: If a unit of Ripperdactyl Riders is placed in reserve, is the
Bloat Toad still placed on the battlefield?
A: Yes.

Q: If a unit of Ripperdactyl Riders is summoned after their first
hero phase, is the Bloat Toad still placed on the battlefield?
A: No.

One thing to consider with an EotGs is if it will generate more value from the summoning/mortal-wounds than can be gained from starting with the units that would be you summoned already on the field. I am not sure which is the right answer in terms of list building, but my instinct would be to drop the EotGs and bring a larger unit of Skinks for the Shadowstrike battalion. I think it is worth doing some math hammer on the number of extra points you are likely to summon vs just starting with them on field.

EotGs gives you flexibility, but also slows you down by a turn.

P.S I am not trying to say EotGs is bad. Just that it seems better in a full summoning or Thunderquake list than mixed in with Shadowstrike Starhost.

So played a test game tonight with the list above. Think would have been ok if I deployed better. Any comet and incantor were a waste.
Here is potential tweak

Slann
Engine
Skink star priest
Astrolith bearer
40 skinks
10skinks
10skinks .
4 razordon
5 chameleons
3 vanguard long strikes
6 rippers
Shadowstrike
Or

Slann
Engine
Skink star priest
Astro
40 skinks
10 skinks
10 skinks
4 razordons
Bastiladon
6 rippers
Shadowstrike

Longstrike will be better at sniping heroes due to head-shot not being affected by LookOutSir. And Chameleon are great at creating objective pressure.

Basty will be better at killing monsters and hordes. I like both list a lot.

I guess the longstrike one. As with good rolls i can summon a basty turn 2 or 3 if needed or what ever I need?

So have dropped incantor and comet.
Slann
Eotg
Astro
Skink starpriest
40 skinks
10 skinks
10 skinks
4 razordons
4 razordons
5 chameleons
6 rippers
Shadowstrike

I have been avoiding using allies for a while but I do like that Longsrtike list. Let me know how it goes.
