Looks like a nice list, as a start i would split the twenty skink unit into two seperate units of ten. You will get alot more milegae out of them, also the priest i would strip down to a lvl 1 with only a defensive magic item. I have never got any good use out of priests at lvl2, my slann is just too greedy.
with light spells having such low casting values and my slann having a ready access of free dice i thought id have power dice to spare but you may be on to something personally i like the cloak of feathers so he can go hunter war machines id also be at a loss of what to do with the spare 35 points
You paid a lot of points for The Focused Rumination. Do you really think you will have dice left for your Diadem? You also paid a lot for your Slann as a whole. Have you donsidered cupped hands? I have *no* idea how a Skink Priest can hunt a war machine. He can nerf it with Iceshard Blizzard, but even Empire mar machine crew will hand him his lungs in combat. I'd suggest you lose the diadem, plaque and wizard level, take cupped hands and maybe a scroll. I totally agree about the skirmishers. I've run units as big is 14, but it can be unwieldy. If you want 20 javelins in one unit take cohorts and a musician...you save 54 points to put toward another unit. Otherwise smaller units of skirmishers. Otherwise a solid list.
yep im feeling 2 x 10 of the skirmishers, with light having such low casting values im likely to be using 1-2 dice from my pool for each spell (then the free one) im going to have really bad luck to get a miscast on 2-3 dice and thats a risk i feel happy with. Part of this is i do see almost every list having a cupped hands slann and part of this is to for my own benefit to show thats its not necessary. i do see that with 7 spells from my slann and 3 from the skink priest i do think the times when ill have dice spare are few and far between so ill drop that. With regards of warmachine hunting ill list the spells ill use for hunting them iceshard blizzard makes them 50% effective, urannons thunderbolt, comet given that most warmachine tend to be static and chain lighting for those times that dwarves make little batteries of machines. Now the question remains what to do with the now free 25 points
