8th Ed. 2k LM with Slann

    So I am just wanting to try something different than I normally do. I want to run a Slann solo depending on the situation. He can always join the Saurus unit if need be, but the whole point is to gauge the threats and float the general around and wreak some possible havoc. With the Salamanders in there I want to give the enemy some pause in regards to what spells they let me throw. I want to make it so most of my spells are catastrophic to let thru(even just the debuff ones).

    The purple sun will probably just be scary, never used except as a last resort. But having it in the choice will ensure the opponent will save some dice to throw at it just in case.

    This type of list is pretty new to me, so it will be a learning experience. I am going to play at least three games using it and see how I feel about it. Thoughts?

    Death Slann
    -Plaque of Tepok
    -Crown of Command
    -Becalming Cogitation
    -Higher State of Consciousness

    *I wanted a semi-soft Slann, no Cupped Hands. I wanted the player to feel less apprehensive about playing against me. This is not a tourney list. But I still wanted him to be kind of scary. I figure with the Plaque he didn't need to have Loremaster and with the Crown if I needed him to hold some peoples up he could, especially a chaff/smaller unit.

    Skink Priest
    -Lvl 2
    -Dispel Scroll
    -Feathered Cloak

    *Scroll Caddy + annoyance.

    Scar Vet
    -BSB
    -Burning Blade of Chotec
    -L. Armor
    -Charmed Shield
    -Iron Curse Icon
    -Dragonbane Gem

    *BSB with a little killy capability. Unit Buffer as well.

    39 x Saurus Warriors
    -Full Command

    *Horde formation until whittled down

    18 Skink Cohorts
    -2 Krox
    -Musician

    *useful for killing smaller units and for providing a tool for fighting stompy monsters.

    10 x Skink Skirmishers
    -Javelin/Shield

    *harassment and mislead tool. Plant them in front of a unit at an odd angle, kind of a speed bump capable of fighting other skirmishers and fast cav.

    10 x Chameleon Skink

    *kills warmachines, high T/low Armor monsters. A tool to possibly pop cannons and other annoying enemy units(Casket of Souls as an example)

    5 x Chameleon Skink

    *similar, but smaller. Can support the larger unit, or can be useful as more speedbumps if the need arises.

    Ancient Stegadon

    *Scary stubborn beast. Support the Skrox or the Saurus.

    Salamander
    -extra crew

    *combined with Doom and Darkness or dealing with Low T enemies.

    Salamander

    feel u have the overload on chameleon skinks, also, make slann your bsb :)

    I would like to add anything unless you get Wind Blast (then you could line up very specific angles), I don't see the Cloak of Feathers helping your priest much, I'd recommend a Ruby Ring of Ruin if you want to give him a 25 point magic item.

    Thinking the following:

    1. Make Slann the BSB, perhaps a magical banner?
    2. Make the Priest lvl 1, keep scroll, drop cloak
    3. Make Scar Vet more killy
    4. With points saved, throw in maybe another 8 skink cohorts and another Krox
    5. With points saved maybe instead of option 4 instead get another unit of skirmishers
