Slann, general, BSB, warbanner, 3 disciplines (mystery, rumination, cogitation; all lore spells, +1 dice per spell, negate 6's of one enemy wizard), cupped hands, scroll, lore of beasts Priest, level 2, ancient steg with engine, scroll, itxi grubs Priest, level 2, cloak of feathers (This guy has several sweet uses; march block, cast spells where needed, end game where combat is rife Slann drops bears anger on him, and I cannot wait to send the hunters spear through the priest into the flank of a cavalry unit) 18 Saurus warriors, standard, musician 10 skink skirmishers 10 skinks 16 Temple Guard, musician Stegadon 3 terradons I was running short on points so obviously the unit champs and TG standard were first to go and unfortunately the Slanns power stone. Possibly could drop the flying priest's magic level since his main use is channeling the slann where I want it unless he pulls one of the lightning spells. What do you think?
Im not a big fan of the cloak of feathers, most of the time i use it i just get shot by a bolt thrower or skirmishers. I believe it has its uses but if your buying him for march blocking i would urge you to reconsider. I would also recommend dropping the Itex for the Plague to Topek. This will increase you chances of getting comet, and you can cast it on 4 dice with your Priest on the Engine. Giving the Itex Grub to the Flying Skink might be a better idea. Because if you do roll comet on him you can only roll 3 dice to cast it, making it hard to get off, but with Itex it will help alot. Not sure why you would run Lore of Beast, I have considered doing what your talking about, i think its a cool concept with the hunter spear but you can get the same effect and kill more knights with Lore of Metal. I do like the 2d6 move for monsters, charriots and mounter monsters. Nothing better then positioning a stegadon and then magicking him into the flank. Crows Feast is not bad. Other then that the rest of the spells are EHhhhh at best. Bears anger is cool but i think most players will expect it. I would drop 3 Sarus and just run 5x3 so that i could give full command to my TG unit. The extra banner really helps. You will have Banner Warbanner Army Banner and 3 ranks and most likely outnumber. The reason i would take a Champion is because there are times when you play some armys like Warriors of Chaos and they have to issue a challenge so instead of 5 Temple guard dieing, 1 champion dies 5 times in a challenge. Can also challenge Skirmishers, Dragons, Treeman, Kolic SunEater ect... Other then that the list looks good.
