I'm trying to make use of of Tetto's vanguard movement by using Saurus in a horde formation. Vanguard is used first on Saurus, followed by Salamanders and then the ancient steg in that order (depending on the roll). Hording the Saurus will make casting spells easier (focusing on comets from Tetto and WYSSIAN for Saurus). What do people think? LORD Old Blood on Carnosaur - armour of destiny, charmed shield, sword of striking, luck stone HEROES Tetto Eko Priest Lv1 - beast, dispel scroll, enchanted shield Priest Lv1 - beast, cube of darkness, iron curse icon CORE Saurus Horde - 50xspears, FC SPECIAL Baby Stegadon RARE Ancient Stegadon Salamander Pack - 2xsalamander
I would replace the saurus horde with lots of cohorts and as many kroxigor as you can fit. with some skirmishers to redirect. Protect that tetto eko with all you can!!
Unfortunately I only have 20 jav skinks, but I could drop the horde down to 36 (not really a horde anymore) to take 20 skinks for Tetto, and add in a scar vet as BSB. I'd only have 59 pts left for my old blood, but the BSB might be a more worthy addition. Thoughts?
Yes its a physical issue although my group does allow proxying, and I don't have any Kroxigor . I'm hoping the WYSSIAN will be enough on the Saurus to make them nasty, and with vanguard move they should only have to weather one turn of shooting. I tend to do better with Saurus then with Skinks, although Kroxigor would fit the *theme* better than Saurus, but anyway that's why I'm sticking to Saurus ftm.
