Hey guys, just wanted to give you a quick summary of my battles. My list was basically, Slann: MR 2, Extra dice per spell, Loremaster, can only be hit by magic attacks, removes 6's from an enemy wizard's casting, bane head, cupped hands, BSB, Rampager's Standard. Skink priest on an EotG with the Blood Statuette, level 2 Chakax 25 TG with sun standard, full command, and champ had Fear sword. 24 skinks with 3 kroxigors 4 Terradons 16 skinks with blowpipes 2 units of 2 salamanders 24 saurus warriors w/ Full command
Battle #1: VS. Lizardmen So my first battle my opponent had a list kinda like this, Very fighty Carnosaur lord 4 Scar-vet all with a 1+ save, one was mounted on a cold one and another was the BSB 2 units of 25 Saurus 2 units of 10 skinks 3 Terradons 3 salamanders skrox unit with 2 krox Ancient Stegadon 5 CoC 2 level 1 priests, one with a scroll, another with the diadem of power. Well, this fight was certainly interesting. Basically magic lizards vs. fighty lizards. To start off, this scenario had an annoying fog rule, but I always rolled pretty well, whereas my opponent rarely could see very far. Turn 1- I went first, my toad decided to be in reserves this fight so I brought him on to the battlefield and he joined up with the TG, meanwhile the rest of my army advanced, nothing too crazy happened in magic or shooting phase. My opponent couldn't see at all, so he proceeds to advance his entire army and brings his reserves onto the field. Turn 2- this turn my army gets set and my TG are hiding behind a massive hill that's in the center of the table. My terradons drop rocks on his Saurus and kill a good 5-6 of them, they then throw javelins at a priest and miss. My skink skirmisher unit advances up on top of the hill and my sallies put some damage on the skrox unit. His turn, rolls a 2 for fog so he can only see six inches, basically nothing happens, other than he manages to charge my terradons with skink skirmishers and Terradons, and his entire line advances, with a Carno lord stopping on the hill. His magic phase he irresistibles a comet on the field. Turn 3- My terradons continue to fight the skinks as my line holds still, my skinks shoot at the carno lord and do nothing and my skrox and salamanders move away from the comet. I use the Ancient to grant the ward against damage. The comet builds up and salamanders kill a few saurus from the unit with a scar vet and bsb. His carno lord charges the skinks, who flee and are caught, but the carno lord stops right in front of the TG. Ancient Stegadon charges my EotG and his Skrox charge my salamanders who flee, while his salamanders charge my Skrox. The comet lands, kills a bunch of my skinks and 1 kroxigor from my skrox unit, wipes his salamanders down to 1, his Carnosaur takes two wounds, hit alot more of my troops but I rolled well and took no damage. Stegadons both take 2 wounds in their combat but don't budge. My Skrox kill his salamander. Turn 4- My saurus warriors flank charge his engaged Ancient while my TG charge the Carnosaur lord. Salamanders rally and my Skrox charge his. My Swarm unit this entire game is wandering around my backlines, to deny battlepoints for killing the cheapest unit. My magic makes TG have Regen and Toughness 8. No shooting. Comabt, Chakax gets in a challenge with the Carnosaur lord and butchers the Carnosaur, and due to negating magic weapons, the Oldblood was useless against Chakax's now Toughness 9. He flees and is caught by the TG, who overrun into a Saurus unit with a scar-vet. Saurus warriors and EotG break other stegadon and run it down, but the Saurus rolled bad for pursuit and stop right in from of the Cold One Calvary with their flank exposed. My Skrox stalemate with his. My opponent moves his wounded saurus unit with the BSB in it forwards towards the battle with the Skrox. His Cold One Calvary charge my saurus. His magic manages to position another comet near the Saurus/Cold one Cav fight. The Cold one Cav put alot of the damage on the Saurus, but they hold and reform to fight the cav to the front. The TG butcher the Saurus unit with their Halberds and catch them on the pursuit, running into a reserve skink unit that was also his cheapest. My Skrox lose against the enemy unit. Turn 5- My EotG advances on the Saurus unit with BSB. meanwhile my sallies charge the weakened the Skrox enemy unit. My magic phase, the Slann finally gets off Dweller's Below and slaughters the enemy Terradon unit. The Engine uses the explosion ability and kills all of the Saurus unit, but the two Scar-Vets are still up. Combat rolls around, the TG kill the skinks and reform to face the rest of the field, and the Saurus lose combat and roll bad, breaking from combat and getting overrun. My salamanders kill the Skrox. My opponents' two Scar-Vets charge the Engine and his CoC are stupid, so don't move much. The comet lands this turn and kills two CoC but nothing major. His two Scar-Vets kills the Priest but keep fighting the Stegadon. Turn 6- My TG just sits around and my magic phase fails horribly. The Salamanders run to a remote corner. My EotG puts a wound on the BSB but loses combat, but manages to stay put. My opponents turn, he REALLY lucks out and not only manages to save all the damage from the Stegadon AGAIN, but breaks the big lizard and the game ends. Final Result- Minor Victory in my favor. Honestly, I should've had a massacre, but the Ancient Stegadon just could not get through that 1+ save and I rolled pretty bad for Thunderstomp. Also magic didn't roll very hot this game. Next game to be posted later today.
