Hey there! My friend and I have been playing Warhammer for years. We're both an even match. We've each won, lost, and tied the same amount of games with each other. However we're having a tooth and nail fight soon, so I'm making a tough list. He is doing the same with his Orcs and Goblins. What do you guys think of it? Lords (735) Slann (390) Shadow, becalming cogitation, harmonic convergence, reservior of energy Channeling staff Slann (345) Death Powerstone BSB Heroes (421) Skink Chief on terradon with spear, shield, light armour. (I'm facing Orcs and Goblins and he's going to bring a ton of fanatics so I am going to set them off turn one to run a muck in his lines) Skink Priest, scroll, level 1 beasts Skink Priest, forbidden rod, level 1 beasts Tetto'eko Core (860) Saurus Warriors x30, hand weapon and shield. Saurus Warriors x30, hand weapon and shield Skink Skirmishers x10, javelin and shield Skink Skirmishers x10, javelin and shield Special (750) Chameleon Skinks x5 Chameleon Skinks x5 Temple Guard x20 Temple Guard x20 Rare (230) Ancient Stegadon with blowpipes. Turn one I am hoping to set off all his fanatics (he will have 4 units of night goblins with full fanatics) so I can cause chaos in his lines. Before turn 3 I want destroy about 1/3 of his army with magic hopefully. What do you guys think?
In my opinion you have spent WAY too many points on magic. Two Slann, two skink priests and Tetto is simply too many points invested in magic for a 3000pts game (IMHO). I would definitely trade some of that in and get some Scar Vet cowboys. Scar Vets and Oldbloods are some some of the most potent tools at our disposal.
Gotta say, I agree, too much points on magic. One lvl4 and a scrollbearer, thats what youll want, more hard-hitters!
