Hey guys. Some buddies and I are thinking about have a couple of friendly 3k games this weekend, and I'm dying for a win. My last 2 games were undoubtedly the worst games I'd ever played as far as luck of the dice goes (without exaggeration, about 50% 1's and 2's, multiple miscasts with 3-4 dice thrown, Slann blowing up - just awful), so it's redemption time!! I want to put this list up here and see if anyone has any good ideas or tidbits that I'd never thought of before to employ! ------ Slann - BSB Std of Discipline, Becalming, Harmonic, Eldrich Energy, Unfathomable Presence, Focus of Mystery, Channelling Staff Oldblood - Armour of Destiny, Potion of Speed, Dawnstone, Halberd Gor-Rok Scar-Vet - Cold One, L/Armour, Charmed Shield, Gold Sigil Sword, Tali of Endurance 24x Saurus Warriors - FC, Spears 24x Saurus Warriors - FC, H/Weapons 12x Skirmishers - Jav/Shield 10x Skirmishers - Brave, B/Pipe Bastiladon - Solar Engine 8x Cold One Cavalry - FC, Spears 25x Temple Guard - FC, Razor Standard Ancient Steg - EotG, Sharpened Horns, Unstoppable Stampede ------ As far as deployment goes, I usually put my Oldblood in the TG. My reasoning is that if i take TG and Slann they have to go together, so it basically forces my hand into making it a deathstar. Normally I try and deploy the pleb units within 6" of steg to get the 6++ and the bastiladon and TG behind. use my skinks to harrass and redirect, while the cavalry are more of a powerful distraction for their deployment, to split them up. Any thoughts and ideas you might have would be excellent!
