So this is my first ever Lizard list. I've been playing for many years but never with these guys. Feel free to give any comments and crit as it will be very welcome. This is being built with stuff I already own and some stuff I have coming. It seems like a fairly solid list but I have never played Lizards so I'm not too sure. I would like to play with a solo Slann and see how it goes. If it doesn't work I will probably end up picking up some Temple Guard and replacing the Cold Ones with a unit of them.
3 ways i can see this going: 1) you could drop 2 skirmishers and give the slann loremaster. 2) you could replace the skirmishers and remaining points with 13 saurus to flesh out the blocks a little more or give them spears instead 3) you could add 3 more chameleons to the current setup 2 critiques on the list: 1) plaque and dispel are both arcane, you'll have to choose 1 and drop the other. 2) id give some thought to trying to swing some points around for a second sally (either as a buddy or a separate unit). perhaps 2 terradons and the brave? i think you'll get a better return from 1 sally then 2 terradons. plus you also have more chameleon skinks if you go route 3 (4 if you used the 15 points from the plaque)
I think i will go the way of dropping 2 Terradons and taking another Salamander and some more chameleions. But just out of curiosity, is 3 Terradons effective enough? Their main use will be to fly over a unit I don't like and drop rocks on it and then continue on to take out Warmachines
depends on the size of the unit . ideally they will be on a flank, so the size of flanking units is usually small enough where you could do some damage. you figure an average of 6 S4 hits from the unit of 3 should be able to flatten something. id say they would be sufficient enough for taking on warmachines, at least in a tying them up sense. make take some time to whittle through them
So I've decided to drop two terradons and the scroll and take another Sally, 5 more skinks and run two units of 10. And another chameleon.
