Hello all, New to the forum here, thought I would get some advice from all the generals out there. The list below is a friendly fluff army, not built for serious competition. Your advice and thoughts are much appreciated. General Skink priest - lv2 (Heavens) Core 16 Saurus warriors, full command, hand weapons & shields 12 Skink skirmishers, blowpipes Special 3 Terradon riders 495pts Best, Anubis
My only suggestion is to give the Cloak Of Feathers to the Skink Priest just so he's not caught in a combat (T2 is very squishy for a general)
Well, what do you want to hear? 500 point games are barely games, i am sorry to say. Almost everything is decided by the roll of the dice, as the loss of a single unit or even a few models can decide the game, as it swings the game very fast. What do you plan with this list, if you want to teach the game to someone, every list works.
500 points makes it hard to have much variety or substance in a list. Like airjamy said, with so few units on the board it can sometimes seem more of an exercise in measuring and rolling, rather than strategy and skill. Don't be deterred, though! If these are all the models you have at your disposal and 500 points is the maximum you can muster, you can still have a fun game. It just won't have the same tactical element larger games do.
Have you considered getting a Bastilodon? For a cost of 150pts they will be veeeeeeery hard to kill in 500pt games whilst putting out nice damage with Engine of the gods. The issue is when you get in combat don't expect him to kill stuff that quickly
