7th Ed. 500 pt Escalation Tournament

    So my local shop is holding an escalation tourney starting at 500pts and gradually goin up each week to 1000pts. So here's my 500pt list let me know what you guys think


    Hero:
    Scar-Vet General, cold one, burning blade,enchanted shield, talisman of protection , la

    Core:
    20 Saurus Warriors spears, banner, musician

    10 skink skirmishers

    Perhaps you could knock that saurus unit to 18? Then you could either run it 6x3 or put the scar vet into it which makes it stupid but immune to fear and you can run the 5x4 set up still.

    That gives you 24 points about right? That could boost your skinks up to 13.

    So aside from those small tweaks overall the list looks solid?

    The problem is you have just two units and a solo hero. I would whittle down the saurus to 12 at this point, and go 6 wide. You'll be able to create another unit entirely (maybe ranked skinks, a salamander, etc.). You could trim some points by putting in a normal shield in place of the enchanted one, and by getting rid of the talisman of protection. The 1+ armor save should carry you through most battles, except against things that ignore armor (in which case, he can hide in your saurus).

    I agree with Caneghem, You need more units. my 750 and 100 point armies have heroes with a save worse than your current list and survive quite easily.

    You could squeeze a unit or terradons in if you drop some items and some saurus. Very useful in all sized games.
