Ok so it was first match ever with lizards...500pts to escalate each month by 500pts.
I took Oxyotl
5 chamo skinks
10 skink skirmishes
10 saurus with shields and hw plus standard
3 rippers
He had lvl1 vamp
25 Skelingtons with spears and full command
25 Skelingtons with spears and full command
5 hounds things
Highlights
Skink skirmishes killed all 5 wolves at range in one volley....
Rippers tore a dozen toad rage skell in the flank before getting beaten back to death. Definite glass cannon.
Oxy and his chamo chums got a pop at the vamp but fluffed his sniper lines and after a failed flee got overrun... Balls.
The saurus went toe to toe with 25 skell and vamp lord and after a long combat which saw dozens of resurrected skell ss the saurus plus now flanking skinks killed the unit of skell, only to be charged by the other unit of skell. After a heroic last stand by the saurus standard, the vamp was slain, and the skell down to 2 models at game end, I had 6 skinks and the saurus standard. A winning margin of 70 pts.
Is that a win at 500 pts? It felt like a win when my saurus ate his vampire!
Will swap out Oxyotl for level 2 beasts I think.
