Has anyone played a game of this size? If so, what sort of units/characters did you bring? I have a friend that wants to play a 5k game...it just seems so...big...
Would be crazy lol, you would have to spend big on heros or you would have a f$&k load of troops lol and the time it would take to finish would be crazy, still something to try maby
I've done it a dozen times or more in the past, but never in 8th edition. Since I only own one Slann model, I never fielded more than one Slann (although he'd be loaded). I certainly took a lot of characters, but also had a lot of troops. It's fun, and doesn't take *that* long. I'd say 5000 points never took me longer than 6 hours, from pulling the first model out of the transport box to walking out the door.
