First of all: hi everyone! =)

I recently got the grips of my good ol' Lizzy again, after I stopped playing about 8 years ago O.O
My local store is running this 4* Generals thingy (dunno if they only do it in germany, where I come from, or elsewhere too. Basically you start with a 500pts army for two month or so and than advance to bigger armies)
And since I finally have more sparetime I just couldn't resist :)

So far I've made quite a few games and have actually been quite successful with my list but I wanted to take the chance and ask you guys if you have any further advice?

    Here's my list:

    Gar'Taroks Expedition

Gar'Tarok - Scar Veteran, l.Armor, Burning Blade of Chotec, magic shield (the one that gives you +2 on save, is that the "charmed shield"?), lucky stone 120pts

    11 Saurus, HW&S, CS 145pts

    6 Chamo-Skinks 68pts

    3 Teradons 90

    1 Sally 75pts

    498pts altogether

So far I got my butt kicked by CW; I couldnt redirect his Unit of 5 Knights and they basically whooped my whole army from the flank.
An Orc player with 3 big Blocks of Orcs and nothing else also crushed me pretty badly but that was mainly because of the small table we played on. I'm pretty confident I can outplay him on a larger table.

I whiped the floor with Beastmen, 2 armies of Goblins, another Lizzy, and Wood Elves.
We also have 2 VC and a Skaven player but I didn't face em yet.

So, what do you guys think? :)

Purely based on my own personal taste I feel like 11 saurus is a really small amount. But then again it is a smaller game.

I would recommend dropping either the tarranadons or the sally and pick up many more SW, if they kill 2 of them, you lose all rank bonuses. That's bad for Combat Res.

Hey Guys, thx for the replies.

Thing is, I dont really want to drop the Teradons or the Sally since both units are doing there job so well and give me A LOT of flexibility. I'm holding my Saurus back most of the time and let the other 3 units do there jobs and kill as much stuff, as they can. When my opponants big block reaches my Saurus its usually not that big of a threat any more and I'm in good position to flank charge with my Sally and/or Teradons.

I could drop 1 Chamo and the Shaurus Champ to get 2 more Saurus, allowing me to lose 4 of em (General is in that Regiment too ofc) before losing my Rank bonus.. But than I would also have 4 unspend points which feels kinda weird :/

Btw, theres actually NO Charactermodel that is a real threat for my ScarVet at this Pointcap. He smashed the Beastman Hero, hes fine with Orcs and Elves, CW is fielding a wizard, VC can't field a Vamp (remember: only 125pts for Heros allowed!). The hardest opponant was actually one of the Goblins, coz he can take a Lord already and 3 wounds suck! :D

Is it typical to have no magic user? Missing out on the magic seems game changing. Also surprised to see so much use coming from terradons. I value them very low in LM.

    Well.. its only 500 pts!!
I had to decide weather I go with a ScarVet OR a SkinkPriest. I decided the ScarVet would be more valuable at this pointlvl. The other Lizzy took a lvl2 Priest though. He seems to be very potent in some games but is also very unreliable..
As for the other Players, most of them went without magic (you just dont have enough points..) apart from the players whos Heroes are eather too expensive (WC and VC) or too cheap (Goblins)! :D

So far I'm very pleased with the work my teradons are doing. They are great at picking out small flanking units and synergize very well with my ChamoSkinks. So far, my Army is the most flexible of all I've encountered and I'm trying to use my manouverability as much as I can.

Haha. I'd be that chump with the lvl2 losing at least half my games. At 500 spell 5 and 6 seems so good. You could hit the entire enemy army! Do you play on a standard size board?

We play on a 48" x 48" square table so you do have enough space to manouver around.
With most of the players deploying 3-4 Units I really like my fast and flexible List so far...
