Okay im Playing (New Skaven, Tomb Kings and Goblins) Here's the list Sauraus Scar-Vetran, Light Armour, Burning Blade of Chotec, The Maiming Shield 14 Sauraus Warriors 20 Skink Skirmishers, Brave 7 Chameleon Skinks 3 Salamanders 750 Points Please give any advice Thanks tom
hi i would definately reccomend taking a stegadon, i recently played in a 750 tourny, and the steg helped out so much, it did quite well killing and everyone i played was really focused on killing it over the rest of my stuff. do you really need 3 salamanders ive always thought they were better running solo, for better positioning on the template shots.
I would say split the skinks into 2 units of 10, drop the chameleons to get a bigger saurus unit, divide the salamanders into 3 units of one each, and put the scar-vet on a cold one. He gets a much better armor save, and by putting him the saurus unit they gain immunity to fear (so TK can't autobreak them in combat). Something like: Saurus Scar-Veteran, Light Armour, Burning Blade of Chotec, The Maiming Shield, Cold One Mount 18 Saurus Warriors 10 Skink Skirmishers 10 Skink Skirmishers 3 Salamanders 741 Points Then with the remaining points you can get a either a skink brave or an extra handler for one of the salamanders.
Well I'd definately like to point out you can't take three units of a single salamander as that goes over the rare slot limit of one for 750 pts... So I'd actually take almost all the advice so far given (except takin a steg), but I'd drop 2 salamanders and use the points to get some Terradons, they are very helpful at a low point match... It's late so I'm not gunna go into more detail on changes, but the list seems pretty good. You may consider swapping maiming sheild for enchanted shield, but idk at the moment what to do with extra points... Good luck, and good night, lol....
you can have one unit of 3...but I don't advise it, one should be enough to help out and cause panic, etc. Three is a big points investment...Salamanders run better in groups of one, so at 2k you could have two units of one and if thats your playstyle it works. Razordons run better in a unit of three, so if your determined to spend so many points on your rare slot, take three razordons, at 750pts they should be able to give you some decent firepower. And mercy on anyone who charges them, as they can take up to 60 str 4 shots with no penalty to hit from standing and shooting, long range, etc. Odds are you won't get 60 shots, but as long as your not being charged by knights, you can probably kill the whole unit, or at least weaken it enough so you can handle it, with the razordons 6 str 5 attacks, and 9 str 3 attacks from the handlers... But like I said, I think a unit of four terradons and only one sally would be more versatile and give you points for other things...
