Soon I'm having my two first lizardmen fights, 750 points. Going to fight against 1) Usual dwarfs gunline: 2 shooting boxes, 1 melee and 2-3 war machines. 2) Goblins: 2 chariots (1 with character), 3x5 wolf riders, 1 squig unit, 1 giant. So I made this list: 1 Skink Chief on Terradon @ 145 Pts Blowpipe; Light Armour; Sword of Might; Enchanted Shield; Talisman of Protection 3 Terradon Riders @ 90 Pts Javelin 3 Terradon Riders @ 100 Pts Javelin; Champ 11 Skink Skirmishers @ 77 Pts Blowpipe 11 Skink Skirmishers @ 77 Pts Blowpipe 3 Kroxigors @ 185 Pts Great Weapon, Champ 1 Salamander Hunting Packs @ 75 Pts Any ideas about how it will work or how to improve it?
Are you going to be playing 7th ed or 8th ed? This looks like a good list. You are lacking both magic and combat but you have some combat with the kroxigors. What you do have is speed and manuverability. Dwarves worst nightmare. Just take out his war machines first and then move on to the shooting units. Against dwarves I would just avoid the combat block all together unless you have 2 or 3 units to take it on with at once. Outmanuvering the goblins will be more difficult but the drop rocks from the terradons can take care 2 units of the wolf riders and then just take out his units one by one until they are all gone. Use your skirmishers as distractions so your kroxigors and terradons can charge and do damage to chariots. DO NOT let the chariots charge you. None of your units can stand up to that. With the squigs. Just avoid them. They can be very nasty.
We're going to play with 7th. I'm not thinking about magic defence, because none of my opponents has magic. I'm also thinking if Salamander unit is going to be useful. Maybe it's better to replace it with one more kroxi or skink unit. I know about chariots danger, so I think my strategy is killing giant and/or wolf riders if possible.
