2 regerments of 16 warrious full co 20 temple gard full co stegdon 24 skermisher skinks skink prist skink cheif sares scar vetren i will be playing orks and goblis and dark elves but we are doing a type of campain wich i have to ceep the same hearo in bigger points i was thinking somting like 20 warrers fullco 20 skermisher skinks and somthing else but what, even if i do not have the moddles i can still by them?
champions are rather useless in all your units and 20 temple guard is a lot with no slann. they break just as easly as saurus and cavalary really does a number on them. also i don't like skink chiefs, but thats just my personal prefference more than tacics
Nah, champions are good. +1 A is handy, and even if you kill 5+ sauruses he still gets to hit back if your opponent dont direct anought or any attacks at all on the champ. Most importantly they can challange, which is great vs super killy characters or to protect characters in the unit. A dragon vamp lord with dread lance and red fury charges you, you challange with the champ and he can't decline, the vamp and dragon porbably does around 8-10 wounds normally but cant do more than 5 overkill, which means only 6 CR, which means if you have full SCR, bsb or warbanner and a Musician you actually win instead of loosing badly. I agree with TGs tho, cost way to much for what they do unless they get stubborn from the Slann. Skinks chief is imo rather crappy unless they are on top of a ancient steg with a War Spear. I assume you play your skinks 2x12? 'Cause a giant units of 24 is very fragile and won't be any good harassers.
