(Pssst get rid of the point values. Read the forum rules. Also, we've all got the rule book; no need for them anyway) I'd lose the skink braves, and add the points onto your old-blood. You could go with any build on your old-blood, as you've got a fair few points to play with, but I would make one observation about your current build: he's got a great weapon (always strike last), his attacks aren't magical, and a 4+ armour save/6+ ward; other decent characters will tear him to pieces. You need to tool him up. Other than that, I like the list. Looks fun.
I would also drop the razordon in favor of a salamander. Unless you will be facing multi-wound models, the razordon just isn't as good as the salamander.
oh didint realize about the poitn posting sorry, anyway ive tried salimanders and theyve never really did anything allways overshooting or other misfiring
Hello, First of, You are putting an Awfull lot of points inot your hero section, and a Lord... I'd drop the lord, and Make a Saurus BSB. Also Putting alot of Mages where Yuo don't have enough units for them to be good. Spells on low point games either go on If or don't go at all. I had a Army on 700 points that was more or less: - scar vet -naked priest 2x10 skirmisher 19 Saurus warriors 2 Salamanders And it di pretty well on 800 I'd beef uf the Saurus to a bsb and put some more sauruses
Yah, at 800 pts you don't really need that many Lords/Heroes. I've been running a list very similar to the one that Ejpok posted at 800 points and I haven't lost with it yet. The only difference is that I didn't bring a priest and have a mounted my Scar-Vet. More Saurus as well. The Salamanders are just too powerful at this level of play to avoid taking. I've found that getting 8-10" away from your target will allow you to hit it the majority of the time. Don't let a few games of bad rolling turn you off from them.
I also agree with Qupakoco, don't give up on the Salamander. IMHO sallies are far more reliable than razordons.
I played several competitive games at 800, and Salamander turned out to be pretty good, even if only as a fire-redirecting unit. I also didn't use a combat hero, just a priest, instead I had 2 x 20 saurus.
I wouldnt bother with magic at all, drop the oldblood to a scar vet and with the remaining points you could afford a tone of skirmishers.
