7th Ed. 8th 1200 liz vs Stunties

    A quick 1200 point Dwafs vs Liz
    He brought Miners, longbeards, riflemen, 1 organ gun, 1 cannon. And some crazy dude solo.

    I brought
    Slaan, 24 skinks in 8/3, 18 skirmishers with javelins, 7 Chameleons, 2 sets of 2 SALLY’ (MVP) and 18 saurus with spears.
    2 priests.
    The slaan took Light

    Right off the bat he goes first and demolishes 80 points of Chameleons. Gay. So very gay. Cannon takes 1 sally and 2 pokers with em. Rifles take 1 saurus. I panic off Slaan ld for the sally and we all are good.
    My turn.
    I moved every one up max distance.
    Magic it up comet behind the beards and riflemen
    I WARP TIME my Saurus MMMm yesss
    Did some minor Light and off to shooting
    Javelins let Poison spears fly 8 out of range Oh well. Kill 1 crew member stupid good save on crew.
    My skirmishers kill the random running naked dwarf. AND SALLY’s take it to the core by killing To many MINERS. They single one gets 1 beard. Dwarfs don’t run and we go to him.
    Comet gets a token
    He tries to charge a couple things and his dice are not with him. O gun takes the entire squad of 6 crew and 1 sally. Fuck. He shoots more saurus with a cannon and holy crap gets like 4. Stupid save. No Ward.
    I go no comet…….. Charge with movement 8 saurus MEWHAHA and charge some long beards.
    Re cast time warp I get it off Irresistible Slaan cups it away. I do some damage to the o gun with regular skinks and the skirmishers are killing more riflemen while the sally’s are eating miners for breakfast.
    CC… umm… so he has great weapons I have ASF and re rolls to hit. I score a massive number and he loves to make saves. His great weapons Kill 6 saurus 0 ward save and I lost by 3. Slaan in range so I’m all good.
    His up FINALLY comet goes off I roll a distance of 5 inches. Nothing in range sad face.
    He goes for broke tries to charge my skirmishers but I let a LOT of javelins off killing 3 and CC we will go.
    He cannon hits the Slaan but 4 ward says I don’t take damage. O gun kills like 8 skinks from the ranks WTF this gun is fucking stupid CC ASF GO GO GO.. no no no I suck … he comes back and kills another 3 I keep em locked in cc time for some sally help. CC with the miners is not good he makes all saves from the poison attack skirmishers. (we (aka the store) decided that the new rule book stated Posion shots and melee for skinks go me) he Drills… 3 skinks away + another 5 and I Snake EYE my leader ship HA>>>><<< COLD BLOODED.
    MY up. I charge with my sally’s to help the saurus magic I go for another time warp it finally gets dispelled. I try some more magic and I suck…. CC time the Long beards pass fear check “DUH” and rape my unit of everything. I goto leader ship 3 with BSB slaan in range . both units break and to the races the dwarfs went. They catch the sally’s and let the 5 saurus go….. .. hes about 1 inch from my Slaan and this isn’t good. CC from miners is not looking good he breaks and sweeps them and they get closer to the slaan. I get the Long beards due to leadership and Over run to the Cannon. Killing the beards.

    His up he charges slaan X2. .. if I run he dies being the BSB. .. I take my chances and stand. The O GUN MISSFIRES and EXPLODES BOOOOM. … … at this time we figure it killed over 250 points of models damn worth its points. We go CC and I issue a challenge HEHEHEHEHE
    he accepts and relizes the mistake. No wounder occur I lose by 5 and Cold blood my CC back.
    Next round I go for SUPER POWER Comet 5 inches from SLAAN. We go CC and I challenge again he declines but I super ward save everything I lose by 2 and I am good.
    Comet goes off Thank the old ones them self and DEVESTATE some miners and Longbeards we forgot about the cannon and the slaan takes 3 wounds and I save 2 .. he says holy crap and time is called.

    Over all a very interesting game Ogun is OP so so so so so OP against our low saves. But magic helped out a lot.

    You cannot field a slann with cupped hands of the old one in a 1200 point game, its too many points. Also pretty sure your store is wrong about skinks getting poisoned CC attacks.

    I cant wait to get my 8th edition rulebook.

    so the scenario let us take one magic item for 50 points for free so i cupped :).... (granted the dwarf got like some rune of something )(either way good Eye Ball) as for Poison so the store might be wrong or we might be right

    we wont know till i get more read time and our FAQ.

    i do know this : Poisoned attacks "a model with the Poisoned Attacks special rule wounds his target automatically if his natural dice roll to hit is a 6.

    then it states something like:
    Unless otherwise stated, a model with this special rule has both Poisoned shooting and Close combat attacks.


    i know what it says however ill take any extra benefit i can. last edition i was head over heels in losses.

    Those three words are the problem :p. The Lizardmen armybook clearly states under the "Jungle poison" special rule, that the poison only aplies to ranged attacks.

    Anyhow, nice report! It was well written although it might be nice if you could use some spacings to make it an easier read.

    I try using Ms Word so at least i can spell check most of the words but when it paste's into this is seems to lose its spaceing. I will attempt to make it easier to read.

    As for the Posion "range" attacks i brought this up to the Orginizer but the other Liz players shunned me and spoke over my voice. Also i dont mind getting a little assitance before it goes "For real" in like 15 days or something. Either way round 2 tonight not sure what i will bring.
