So i don't like painting... Really it frustrates me, it annoys me and i simply don't have alot of time. I'm glad i can get a game in, let alone paint a 10k army. So i made a deal with one of my warhammer friends.
I was given a starter fifth edition box by a friend, yes you read it correctly given hehe.
As i don't do anything with the bretts of this box, i decided to give it to my warhammer friend, he was just starting to collect bretts. He said how much, i said for free
well actually not for free, for commision. You paint a part of army (can't ask to paint the whole darn thing xD). He gladly accepted my offer. He finds painting relaxing and soothing, really the opposite of me xD.
So i gave him around 20 saurus warrios and a sallie with crew. He already had done a kroxigor of mine (you can find it here: https://www.lustria-online.com/threads/kroxigor.25433/ ). For the kroxi i wanted the look of a mini carnosaur, make it look like GW painted it back in the day. Now if you read the lore they refer to kroxigors as big cousins of saurus warriors. So i decided that he should paint the saurus warriors similair.
The result:
Now for the sallie and the skink crew. I wanted to use alot of bright colors for my 'monsters'. I always loved red/orange/yellow but it can have a bit of darkness in it as well. He blew my mind with the sallie:
Now for the crew i wanted them to be kind off ugly, you know like the 'ugly' frogs have in the wild, don't eat me i'm poisonous. I want alot of my regular skinks to be 'ugly' as well, but more one overal color:
Have to say perfect for me
. I said i don't really care about basing, you can just paint them all brown. He did have some rocks for the saurus champ and sallie which is cool.
Next up is a slann really excited about that, probably will go with a basic palaquin, but have no idea for the slann itself, maybe blue xD. Ow yea one more thing, he isn't allowed to use the color purple, the footy team i hate has that color in their jerseys xD i know extreme... Ask my wife, she already knows she doesn't look good in anything purple xD
