Hello my fellow servants of the old ones, it seems that chaos has got its self some new recruits in the form of beastmen and i think some one needs to show them whos boss because the guys in white dwarf certainly diddnt, Ive just read the new GW 1k beastmen list on there website and ive decided to counter this new coming of chaos witha 1k list, One thing i noticed is that when i did my last 1k list i used an Eotg for defence wich is actualy a stupid idea becuse most armies at 1 k only take 1 lv 1 or 2 caster so taking Eotg for defence is like putting out a match with a bucket of water. Second thing is that i was taking to much equiptment for my heroes and not enough actual troops so this is my balanced list Heroes Saurus scar-vet 160 Light armour, cold one, maiming shield, sword of battle Skink priest 125 Lv2, dispel scroll Saurus scar-vet 93 Light armour, shield Core 14 Saurus warriors 186 Spears, musician, standard bearer 10 skink skirmishers 70 Special 5 cold one cavalry 205 Standard bearer, musician Rare razordon hunting pack 160 2 razordons, 8 handlers 999 Ahh the plan he says rubbing his hands with glee, kick some hairy butt lol, The back bone of my force will be the saurus, who ill deploy as near to the edge of the board as possible and with the skirmishers on the other side denying the enimy of there flanks. The priest will be in with the skirmishers zzaping stuff or doing what ever his spells let him, Next to them will be the razordons hopefully providing a little bit of cover fire, I know that most of you guys think that they should all go and die in a well but they actualy work better for me than salimanders, I think i might like them more if they make partial covered models autohits but untill then ill still be in the "strenth 3 sucks" club. I plan to make the cold ones hurtle up the opposite edge causing all of the arrows that they fire at the main army to be re directed with there "re-direct arrows"or "arrow magnet" special rule that they seem to have and also maybe getting the occasional flank charge. The main idea is to fight a half of their army with most of mine AND have my arrow magnets sorry i mean COC make a nusance of them selves YEA HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT SOCIETY um i mean tell me if you like it I think ill call it "a kick in the balls to chaos, with love lizardmen" A rather hyper Geko *has another sip of redbull
Dude If you use interpunction (capitals and dots) it's MUCH easier to read. Apart from that, nice idea
also, decide on a single metaphor, if you go with 2 for the same thing its not as funny, nor is it as explicit as you would want it to be
yes i was feeling abit exited at the time i mean not that it shows i changed it to just a bucket of water but it is agood point that i made, Eotg = Overkill/waste of presios points in 1k as long as you liked it a less crazy Geko
I might be tempted to take out the razordons in favor of more skinks. Those poison blowpipes will REALLY hurt the Beastmen. Also, beware the heroes. Beastmen heroes are pretty amazing and I'm not sure how your scarvets would fair against them. Your cold one hero looks like he might do pretty well but I would be wary of Ghorros Warhoof. Your CoC will go up gainst Centigors most likely and Ghorros is pretty strong. I'd also beware a suped up Wargor with all of the gifts available to them. In a challenge I'm not sure if you would come out the victor. Also, a single LVL 2 won't get much magic off... maybe drop the lvl and go for something a little more reliable? Saurus units will BREAK his Gors... so I would rally around them. Skink everything to death and lure the main body into your saurus and mop them up. Watch out for the heroes though, they take down a lot before they go down.
I'd find a way to get plague of tepok into that lvl 2 priest. Otherwise there isn't a reason to make him lvl 2. and you'll be all that much more effective at dispeling.
