Hi all! Im happy to say i am about to start my first lizardmen army and i bought the saurus start collecting. I would like to ask the more experianced Oldbloods what would be a good army list for a saurus heavy army. Thank you all in advace^^
Hey, I don't have any advice, but I am just starting out as well, and love the saurus even if they are not the most competitive right now. I am trying to figure out what I want to do as well. If I figure out anything I will pass it along, and hope you will do the same.
IMO, you should go either knights or warriors. I don't think that mixing is a good idea. When I play saurus, it is either 30 knights or 90-100 warriors. You will want one scar veteran and one oldblood - both on foot/cold one and carno variants will do, but I think. You will also want kroak or slann for CP generation/magic defence and skink support heroes - 1-2 skink priests for mortal wound generation and starseer for 3d6 charge and +1 save spell. Use leftover points to your taste. I think, 3x start collecting boxes is a good investment. You will get both carnosaurs, an Oracle, 24 knights and 36 saurus. You will need just 1 box of saurus to complement 30 knights build.
Thank you man^^ I was thinking this kind of build Allegiance: Seraphon - Constellation: Koatl's Claw LEADERS Lord Kroak (320) Saurus Astrolith Bearer (140) Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur (230) Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur (210) - General - Command Trait: Mighty Warleader - Warblade - Artefact: Eviscerating Blade Skink Oracle on Troglodon (220) Skink Starpriest (120) UNITS 20 x Saurus Warriors (180) - Clubs 20 x Saurus Warriors (180) - Clubs 5 x Saurus Knights (100) - Lances 5 x Saurus Knights (100) - Lances 10 x Saurus Guard (200)
Looks nice, consiering you make it from the SC boxes+guard box. Don't forget, however, that Kroak will be replaced with a new scroll in just one week.
OMG realy, aaaa in one week. Cant wait^^ And Again thank you Nart for you imput, feedback and kindness. Best wishes
