7th Ed. a little problem

    'hey all, i have a problem with my saurus, i play much against a friend with wood elves, but ALL my saurussus ar death before i charge, so i need a very good trick against his arrows, i have one, but i cant use that in his terrain, anyone knows something good for me?

    Throw Skinks infront of the Warriors to catch some arrows.. Engine of the gods for a 5+ Ward Save from ranged attacks further then 12".

    If you use a slann you can use Lore of Life.

    Are your Saurus supported by faster elements to race forward and kill the archers? Even just a single Scar Vet on cold one is enough to beat an archer unit (be warry of nearby waywatchers or wardancers waiting to killing blow your hero though).

    T3 no armour archers are not a problem if you have forked lighting/uranon's thunderbolt. You probably have 1-2 skink priests in your army and most likely you will get atleast one no range D6 S4 damage spell to take out those bows. Then you have terradons to drop rocks on the archers, skink skirmishers to screen saurus and then, when in range, fire at the elves. I'm just wondering..how come your saurus' are being killed by lousy archers? Doesn't make sense to me (wound on a 5+, 4+ armour save).

    that last cant, with his magic i cant go through bushes, and other things with trees, then you have an open field and 3waywatcher regiments :(

    NOW I KNOW IT!!

    im now using a special tactic for his terrain, there is a river with a bridge tru the board, il wait for his melee(wardancers) that comes over the bridge, they be charged by my saurus warriors, the skinks move tru te water(aquatic rule) and my slann with temple guards, 3stegs, wait before the river to heal

    my stega's, slann enz work very good, i try your tactics to a little bit and we played 8 games and 8 won!!!

    that works VERY GOOD :D :D :p:)

    thanks for help all i can fight much better now, i know more tactics enz.... just thanks

    Same board every time???????? Cuz when i play we just have new terrain every time (look around the house for stuff + we don't even have a real gaming table)

    yes you can say that, but only the river is not removable... so my tactic always work...
    he wants to play nou at my table cause i have no river... then i us little situation tactics but it wont always work... here u have them... it isnt one page so just clik next beneath the screen...

    So... Your tactic with the river failed you since you can't play with it?

    I won't tell you what t do since that's wrong. Here's my advice:

    Get skinks, skinks and more skinks.
    Get some Cold ones
    Get some sallies
    Use magic
    You can still walk through forests when your up to wood elves, and bushes doesn't do anything, ONLY WOODS and FORESTS(not bushes)
    Wood elves suck at magic, they all die(including forest spirits)

    im just gonna be (censored, got to hold my langueige good here) sick about this, eight of his wardancers has with the charge 33 hits, ws 6, i got to get that down, but they are whit movement 5 and i just cant stop them.
    they kil very hardly and its nearly a god unit, and hit has XX points a model!



    he has 2 groups of eight, i cant do anything realy good against it. . .

    so i ask you

    Well wardancers are bitches, that's why I didn't play them with my wood elves. Wild riders are just... less bitchie.

    You can't post individual points costs, I edited it out of your post. It breaches GW IP laws.

    The simple answer is don't let them get into combat. You need to shoot them or magic them, magic if possible since then you don't need to roll to hit.
