So I have a fair bit of experience with the rules and running settings of GURPS, a generic roleplaying system I find very charming. One of the thing I thought could be interesting, since it allows for so much customization, was to make a campaign in the Warhammer world. More specific Lustria and/or Southlands.

This is of course mostly doable when knowing what your dealing with in both cases. For the setting to fit, one would need knowledge of the Warhammer Lizardmen world and background, and for the GURPS part one would of course need to know how to play the game and create a character. (This is more of a pressure on the one running the game admittedly)

The fun part of such a campaign could be the exploration of the contrast of the warmblooded and the lizardmen civilization, whether the players would be curious or vengeful towards strangers is of course up to them. Though the life and everday of the cold-blooded creatures would also be fun to explore for both game master as well as player.

"Al right", you now say, "but why not use WH's own roleplaying system?" And that's a valid question! To be honest I'm not entirely that familiar with the system; and I find the way the GURPS system works, allows me freedom to create the perfect experience for my campaigns and players. (I could elaborate this further if anybody is interested)

But without further stalling of time and explanations here's what I've got so far:

If any body is familiar with the system please note if I made any errors, else comments about how and why, I have done what I have done, would be met with joyful replies.

You should search the Fluff section for the great Literary works of "The Spawning of Bob". ;)

There seem to be a very living society for fluff here, which is beautiful. I may have to contribute a little bit myself; we'll see ;-)

I was thinking of posting my work for the campaign setting, might be here might be in fluff. However since it's more meant as a setup for a roleplay, I suppose I better leave it in here for now.

At the moment I'm considering a Lustrian-beach setting, involving VC and HE as the main antagonist in the game. The players having, in an unfortunate turn of event, ended up beyond the domain of the Old Ones...

    Campaign Introduction

Change was in the wind of magic as the Slann of the southern city, Tlachuax, sensed. He had telepathically consulted his older relatives around the realm of Lustria; Tlachuax were no more than a fifth generation and thus, despite his magically powers far surpassed any mere mortal, he were a rookie in the eyes of most other Slanns.
No other Slanns had felt the change just has powerful as Tlachuax had, suggesting to some of the older Salnns, he had been in contact with, that the change could be coming from the southern parts of the world; to the very dark edges of the known realms.
Perhaps the meaning could eventually be interpreted by the Slanns around Lustria, for their potential of recognizing the meaning of magic and chaos could not be matched. Now however it was time for more than just thoughts and interpretations, for there were more to take in to account for Tlachuax than just these odd signs of change; settlers to his coast sites had began expanding. To the coast peak he sensed it, and heard his servant skinks whisper about that, the high warm-blooded had begun restoring an old bastion and more were coming each day. They were a noble creature perhaps, good with magic and not with ill intent, but it still did not please Tlachuax, for he knew that within them were capability for corruptions of chaos, thus he would never trust these creatures.
He had called in his most trusted Astrologist; a tall frilled and slender skink named Qahill. His back and patterns were purple, signs from the Old One Tepok, that he valued this particular skink and thus he had been taught in the art of reading the stars and the moons.
Tlachuax wanted Qahill to analysis the Chaos moons constellation, but he need him to do so on a high ground and as southern as possible. There were a mountain, with an old and crumbling monument for the Old Ones, which Tlachuax deemed ideal for the purpose. Qahill would need workers, both skinks to help him with the data and the big crocodile like Kroxigors to carry the heavy equipment needed. It would not be an easy task and Tlachuax would also grant him the best scouts to help get through the uneven terrain and avoid any danger lurking. Should this be impossible, Tlachuax promised to send his finest Scar Veteran and his Warband of ferocious Saurus Warriors, along.

    Objectives for the first Setting:

    · Get to the Mountain and through the danger with the equipment for reading the moon intact.

    · Don't let Qahill get killed (Obviously)

    · Get the reading of the Chaos moons, which could take a night or a week.

    · Fiend off any treats to the analysis of the moon, while the experiment is running

    · Get the data safely home to the city.

The players can be either a Skink chieftain, leading the scouts, the Scar Veteran of the Warband, or a Skink Priest helping Qahill with the reading (Perhaps even Qahill, he doesn't have to be an NPC) or maybe if they want a Kroxigor.

    Any suggestions?
