8th Ed. Advice for starting an army

    Greeting Lustrians!

    I've always been interested in Lizardmen ever since I started wargaming several years ago. I got into 40K, but I told myself that if I ever did Fantasy, I would pick up Lizardmen. Their fluff is cool, and their look is awesome. That said, a few friends and I have decided to start up some Fantasy armies here, and I just picked up the Lizardmen Army Book yesterday.

    We also got Island of Blood for the Rulebook and the fact someone wanted to play High Elves (plus Skaven are neat anyway).

    In any case, I'm having a little trouble in knowing where to start. I've browsed some of the lists here, but since I haven't had a huge amount of time to look through the rules totally just yet, what would be a good recommendation for starting up something in the 500 - 750 point range?

    Eventually, I'd like to get into Slann, Stegadons, Bastilodons, and Carnosaurs, but at this point level, Force Org doesn't look like it allows it. Right now, I'd like to work with Saurus units and maybe an Old Blood or Scar Veteran (The look of the Old Blood mini is pretty cool on its own.)

    In any case, what kind of things should I be looking for?

    The batalion box is a good to get started,
    you get: skinks, Saurus, Temple guard and Calvery.

    ypu cam use bits from this box to convert a Scarvet, skink priest, and a few bases of swarms.

    You can add to that some more boxes of core and some hereos and monsters,
