Right, so as I've mentioned elsewhere I'm collecting Tomb Kings as a secondary army. I have Necropolis Knights and Sepulchral Stalkers which are very fiddily, brittle and I'm having a little bit of a time trying to work out how to store them so I can a) stop worrying about accidentally destroying them and b) be able to bring them to a potential battle (sigh... Yes, I have to keep hoping that I will have battles again in the future and my two friends who play 8th with me haven't died of old age by the time lockdown is lifted). Any advice? Cheers.
You could magnetize their bases and place them in a metal tool box. As long as you use sufficiently strong magnets (rare earth magnets work well) and handle the tool box with care (don't toss it around), they will come out perfectly unharmed. Here are some of my WoC. They have magnetized bases and movement trays. The other advantage of this setup is that you can pull fully ranked up and ready to go units out of your transport case.
Okay, that's a really good suggestion. I'll probably adapt one of my warhammer cases for that. Thanks.
A quicker alternative (which works better IMO for short travels), is a dedicated shoebox with bubblewrap. Up til now it served me well.
Or a plastic toolbox with bubble wrap so you can hold it in one hand via the handle. You can get pretty large ones that can hold entire armies from shops like Wilkinsons
