Just a little idea for what an 8th edition list could look like. Very preliminary ideas for what might be in store.

    Characters
Slann - Focused Rumination, BSB, Cupped Hands of the Old Ones, Bane Head, Dispel Scroll
Skink Priest - Lvl 2, Cloak of Feathers

    Character points 510 (<562.5)

A lean Slann and his assistant keeps it under the 562 cutoff for 2250. Focus of Mystery gone due to choosing spells, Becalming Cogitation is out for now, but enough character points remain in case I want to add it back in.

    Core
    Saurus Warriors x 30 - Full Command - Horde!
    Skink Skirmishers x 11
    Skink Skirmishers x 10
    Skink Skirmishers x 10

    Core points 577 (>562.5)

We'll see if the horde thing is worth doing, but these saurus can fight in 3 ranks and still have a 3+ save in combat. Skirmishers will help screen and divert, etc. I may sub one unit for a skrox, but doesn't seem likely at this point.

    Special
    Terradons x 4
    TG x 16 - Full Command + War banner
    Stegadon
    Kroxigor x 6

    Special points 1001 (<1125)

Kroxigors are the obvious new additions here. If they are really able to fight in two ranks with full attacks and fear causers add to combat res, these guys will be pretty hardcore smashers. Enemy cav will fear these guys. They'll be striking dead last with their great weapons, but will make a good counter-punch unit. To aid the big block and flank things.

    Rares
    Salamander with extra crew
    Salamander with extra crew

    Rare points 160 (<562.5)

These should be even better if they can shoot down flanks of big blocks and possibly panick them! One for each flank.

So there's my first 2250 8th ed. No feedback is required, just an exercise in creative abstraction.

Well I am not sure if items count towards character percentage, as I believe they used to have a separate limit of 15% (I could be very wrong here)

Also becalming cogitation could be REALLY good if its a miscast if they don't make the casting cost. Though some of those rumors don't gel well with miscasts being supposedly harder to get.

Also consider a diadem of power on priest as DD might automatically be lower than PD, and those 2 extra could really help.

That saurus unit is gonna be one ugly behemoth to maneuver :jawdrop:
