Does anyone know the best way for lizardmen to kill tyranids, by any chance? One of my friends plays 40k, and we noticed the stats seemed quite similar, so we are going to have mixed millennia fights.
That's... interesting. Let me know how that goes. I personally would use lots and LOTS of Skink Skirmishers.
I would choose the Lore of Flamers for your Slann and try to make sure all your Saurus are equipped with power spears. Skinks may be useless as the Tyranids are probably immune to bio-toxins. In other words, good luck! Probably one Carifex could deal with an entire Lizardmen army no sweat, and I hear Tyranids can bring six if they want... Wait a second, we can bring 6 Stegadons now! Carnifex vs. Stegadon for the win.
I'd think it would be a tie, the 'nids and lizzies indeed have quite similar stats. impact hit from steggy= dead fex fex charging steggy= dead fex/steggy depending on what rule you want to follow. 1x HT=dead lizzies. x hormaguants=dead lizzies x lizzies=dead 'nids well, it's a tie.
I have played this way before for fun, the 40k army wins no problem. Usually the unit are cheaper points wise and much better for what you get.
Victory! Sort of.... The comet of cassendora really messed him up, not having any dispel dice, and my Oldblood on a Carnosaur took his carnifex apart on the charge. We didn't get to finish, but he probably would won because of his without numbers rule. My skinks also got destroyed by sheer numbers.
This should have been a walk over for the nids. A few dakka fexes and a shooty warrior brood and game over.
