Hi all, For all you Android device users (phones and tablets). There is an armylist builder in the android market. THis builder supports Lizardmen army and many others. You can find by searching on your android device in the market on "an armylist builder" or goto the website http://www.dekwant.eu/abuilder on your android device and use the top right menu item to directly navigate to the builder in the android market. I hope you enjoy it and give me feedback on it to improve it. My email for this can be found on the website Kind regards, Marc
I'm a big Android fan, so when I saw this I jumped on it. Very quick review of "An army list builder" version 3.0 1. It costs money to get this app. Not bad, but it should be pointed out. 2. I have seen better alpha programs than this one that is being charged for. For example I put in 25 Saurus Warriors with FC, showed up as costing 338 points. For VC, the Vamp Lord is also messed up. Also the Slann Discipline screen just gives a check box next to (1 Discipline of the A...) and it doesn't show what the Disciplines are. 3. You can not bring up saved lists at this time nor delete lists from inside the app. 4. In the Slann, it shows all magic items. It's kind of fun building a Slann with a magic sword, but needs a bit more work. 5. No further testing done, app can not be counted on at this time, I suggest holding off on getting it. It has a lot of potential, and a lot of things I like, but at this point, I suggest skipping it. I plan to keep the app and check it out every update, and when it works, I'll post it on this forum. Also e-mailing the Dev, hopefully we can get a good app soon, it would be very handy to build Army lists on the fly and not have to carry around 8 lists for every army I might play. Just my opinion. Edit: Just found out that the Saurus Warriors is correct. It just doesn't have a total, so when you add 25 warriors and then add the command options, it adds in the entire model, not upgrading one of the 25 you already picked. There is no total number so it's kind of confusing.
Thanks for the review! I'd buy an Android just to have a fully functional army list program in my pocket. Sounds like the developer is listening for user input, so I'm sure it's just a matter of time before it's all ironed out. Glad you took the plunge, Cobra7, and keep us posted as to how it shapes up.
Quick update, I e-mailed my findings and suggestions to the dev, in response he pushed out a new version with my suggestions and requested more info on some point costs, which I just sent him. Trust me, it was fast. I just sent in all the bugs I found on the VC list, I'll check out the LM list next. If he keeps up this pace, hopefully by the end of the week I'll recommend this app.
Sweet, lookin' forward to seeing what changes will be made. I'd like to use my phone on the fly as well and hopefully we get some good news soon. Thanks for the follow up Cobra7. Iggy
Quick update. I think this app is now worth while. It costs €1.99 or about $2.60. It's no Army Builder but you can make armies on your phone and use it to play. There is a new version coming out in a couple days with the last bug fixes I found and a lot of suggestion updates I made. After which I will make a very indepth review so you can see if this app is for you. If your unsure, hold off until Friday night.
I tried to go to the website, but none was found. In the Android Market, all I found was Army Creator Mobile (for $3.49) and BattleScribe Mobile. Are either of these the one you describe above? The pics of the Army Creator Mobile do not seem to match that of what you posted. I would very much like to have this ap. Thanks for the help.
I finally found it after searching other threads about it here. The search function for "an armylist builder" didn't come up with it. But the ap is by Olympic Arts (which is how I searched afterwards) and the name is An Armylist Creation tool, just to help others who may need it like I did. Cheers!
