Got a 2000p tourney at the end of November. Other opponents will be Skaven, Emp, TK, OK, DE, WE, Beast. This is what i have. Lord Slann (prob life) Cupped hands Mastery Rumination Core 30 Saurus Warriors (full) 24 Skinks, 3 Kroxs (Mus, SB) 10 SS 10 SS 10 SS Special 18 TG (full) Banner of Flame 5 CS 5 CS 5 CS Rare 2 Sally/Extra Hand 1 Sally/Extra Hand Just shy of 2000, Why no BsB? My lizie luck runs deep with the cold blooded, but i could be convinced. The Camo Skinks have been worth there wait in gold for my games whether it concentrated fire, harassment, machine hunting, etc.. Hard sell to drop them.
add BSB and standard of discipline to the slann. lv10 with reroll makes your Tg fight to the death, protecting your slann. also i would like to see some more models (20) in the TG unit for survivability. they are a huge target since the slann is there. since you will need to remove something, it could be a unit of CS, cupped hands and mystery (replace with plaque of tepok. i know they are good, but you need points ), some saurus warriors, a salamander, a unit of skirmishers... gotta pick one Skipping out on leadership and BSB is rarely worth it. it costs you only 40 points to have a 12 inch bubble where everything is very VERY hard to break or panic.
Thanks Lord for the tips, A question to you or next readers. Is the standard of Dics worth it for the leader ship. I ask because your TG unit gets Stubborn rule when with the Slann. Which essentially gives them Steadfast, allowing you to roll break test on a unmodified LD. so your +1 to LD is negated since your rolling on your general natural LD. May be im missing something on your tactic here?
Yep definitely missing smething out there You need to remember that since the slann is also your general, the leadership bonus is also giving to units within range, and thats for sure something to consider for that points. The second reason for taking the banner is because you don't want to take any risk losing a unit that is 40% of your army's point cost. And since there will be a chance of your leadership value being reduced, that extra point could prove to be useful. All in all your army looks solid! Just one quick note, luck doesn't exist, it is all the will of the old ones Edit: removed rules and point costs
