Anyone have any ideas for basing terradons/rippers without using flight sticks?

Hey guys! I love the terradon and ripper models, but hate flight sticks. I'm using a general jungle/underbrush theme witht the rest of my lizards, but I just don't know what to do with the terradons to give them a flying feel without using the flight sticks. I've seen a few use some sort of ancient pillar type of things on some google searches, but I have no idea where they come from.

Any ideas/inspiration would be much appreciated! Thank you!

How about a palm tree (which functions as a flight stick) ?

Or a stand of bamboo that the Terradon appears to be just brushing past?

How about having one of them flying at a sharp angle with the wingtip brushing the surface of a river/lake on the base?
(Can't find the picture, but I know it exists ... sorry!)

This was on an Instagram page.
So imagine ^ if there were three or four more taller stalks of bamboo and one of them replaced the clear flight stick.

Piano wire.

Suppose your base had ^ tall grass like as in this example. But more of it. Suppose there was one or two smoothly curved grass stalks that were really stiff, hard, piano wire but painted green to look like the rest of the grass. The goal would be to make it look like the Terradon was just brushing past the top of the grass

I am a fan of the "disguise the rod as a tree" approach; would make them look like they are flying over the treetops
