Quasi-newb question... My friend and I were debating this in our last little skirmish. He had a skink priest (Heavens) upon his EotG ancient stegadon and a slaan with Lore of Light. My understanding of Arcane Configuaration is that the ability grants a -1 to the casting value of a spell cast from one of his already chosen lores for that magic phase. In this case, Heavens and Light. The wording on Arcane Config is a bit funky and he takes it to mean that he can cast (at the casting value -1) one spell from any lore. For example, have his skink priest use Arcane Config at the start of the magic phase and to cast Dweller's, a spell from outside lore of Heavens. Would greatly appreciate a clearing up from the sages if Lustria...
uhhh... it's pretty simple, at the start of the phase when you choos a ability for the EotG, and you pick acrane configurations, select one of the lores, all spell in that lore are now one cheeper to cast (your oponent may benefit from this as well). this last untill you pick an ability again from you EotG next turn. Ps. that's what I said Hover boy.
Dunno what book you guys have, but in mine it says to "choose any one lore of magic..." So he has to choose a single lore and modify all the spells from it.
Yes, he can pick any lore of magic to reduce the cast value by -1, that doesn't mean he can cast from any lore. There is nothing to stop him from picking, say Shadow (in the example you have listed) but he can still only cast from the lores his mages can use. That said the skink priest can choose life and then the Slann can channel dwellers through the priest, provided the Slann was a life Slann ofcause.
Thanks you for the replies, gentlemen. Another newb question if I may - -can a skin priest choose another lore besides Heavens?
