Finally created the model, parts used from the Carnosaur box, one piece from Saurus and green stuff. Sorry for low quality pictures, not sure if grey blends in with itself on my phone I will never know.

Will get around to painting him, first time making a strong conversion, so much leg and arm cutting.
Tried to make him unique but I don't want to overpower the model in a way.

That's a very nice predatory pose. The Carnosaur Saurus are very good looking, I've used them for a similar conversion :)

Going with the usual green and brown for my army, might add some blue markings to show his curse of Tzeentch.

Looks like an awesome conversion. Looking forward to seeing it with some paint on it! :)

Realizing that it is VERY late to be making conversion suggestions - but something has been bugging me.

The paired weapons. So saurus-ey. So useful for ripping heads off. So not likely to go off unexpectedly while you are cleaning them.

I picture the Ataxa I know (from his fluff and rules) as using something more elegant and a little more decisive. He will get grumpy, end up with a pile of limbs at his feet and then stop to work out whether they belonged to friends or enemies.

The above combined with the truth that real flint (or obsidian) blades are VERY sharp, and that LM fluff says obsinite / obsidian quite a lot. (I gave you obsidian blades in Bob and Friends for this reason)

The above combined with the possibility that you know an O+G player who might have a few spare savage orc choppas lying around. I could imagine a pair of those, grafted onto the existing handles, painted glossy black with a white edge highlight around the facets. About the nearest thing I can find to what I am thinking are the blades on this guy's staff

If you want some other unique weapon styling ideas, this very old thread discusses possible proxies for the Blade of Realities and @NexS1 has an amazing blade at the bottom of this page.

The above opinion is to be treated as a very optional idea only - Bob is used to having his genius ideas rejected. Just ask Wife of Bob.

Maybe I will try that when I make the next version, but it will be a long time though. It was pretty much what I had laying about at the time. The only players I meet on a Thursday are both Chaos and demons factions, Wood Elves, dwarves and the occasional Tomb Kings. *edit* or maybe when I have the time I will bury into my bits box and grab some greenstuff with some spare weapons and make some blades and one day I will swap the blades over.

More slightly blurry photos, just need to finish other touches and add his blue markings. The dark greens and brown blends are hard to see, my boyfriend will bring his camera along one day to take more better photos.

From what I can see in the photo it looks good! Phone camera? Any ideas for the base?

Yes it's a phone camera, need to try and invest in a proper camera being that I am making a portfolio for ones I make.
Mostly planning for a swamp like theme or jungle.

A descent camera (doesn't have to be too fancy), a mini tripod and some good lighting will go a long way. In regards to the base, you can't go wrong with a jungle/swamp theme!

Or try holding the phone further back and crop it to size? My phone is terrible at close-ups, so that's what I end up doing :)

Fair enough, a dual hand weapon scar vet.
    Not a bad start :)

If your using an iphone you can get sn app called camera +

It is amazing you can alter the shutter speed add filters, I posted a reply in another thread with a smart phone tutorial but I can't find it on this phone

Many thanks to my boyfriend for brining the camera. Much, much better pictures. Ataxa progress! Still need some more work but I am getting there slowly, been busy planning a conversion and painting other models for my portfolio.
