I hope this in the right section.

I am building my first Bastiladon. I plan to build it with Solar Engine or try to magnetize him, but I really don't know how to build his torso plate with spikes.

The 'Solar Engine' one, wih the smaller spikes. This look is more 'natural', but at first sight our big boy appears quite naked and not armored enough. Plus his head looks a little pokemonish.

The 'Arc of Sotek' one, with the big curved spikes. These give a more aggressive look, but the spikes are way too long and curved to make any sense if you look at them for a while.

I really can't choose.

Was this topic discussed before? did anybody else have a hard time choosing?

I prefer the short ones, and used those on both of my Bastis.
The long ones are just so absurdly long, the Basti almost couldn't move with them, it would get stuck all the time.

But I have seen a conversion or two where people attached them in different ways that looked cool.

I prefer the bigger ones :D

Looks much better and more aggressive/fluid than the shorter ones.

Sadly the basti already suffers from gimpy head and front leg syndrome :D

Ended up building the shorter spikes.
No particular reason (both choices had theri pros and cons), just tossed a coin and was happy with the results.

Easiest question ever, buy 2 bastis and profit from both types of spikes!

Me needs moar moneyz!

Went for the short spikes this time
