Bastiladon

Hey guys,

Just as promised my photo's from the finished Bastiladon. It has taken abhout 10hours to complete including basing and stuff. Also i did cut off the stones on the Bastiladon that where on it in the box.

If you guys have any suggestions abhout improving it feel free to say so !

I really like it except the gems. The color transition from orange faces to white edges is very abrupt. If it were blended it would look really nice.

Yeah but it real it looks better. It's the stupid flash off the camera that changes the colours a little bit ....

Looks good! I really like the model itself, and you've done a very good job on the painting Like Dyvim, I think that the crystal's colour transition is quite abrupt, but it usually comes out like that due to camera flash. I am having the same problem every time I try to take pics of my models (probably one reason why there are so few pics... ).

I especially love the scales and the yellow colour you've used on the markings! The yellow on the scales and the yellow on the crystal really complement each other very well. Also the colour of the Bastiladon's skin and the skin of the Skinks works very well together and with the yellow

Nice sheme and paintjob, really like it.

The only comment i can think off is the blue of the belly skin. It can use some more variation in tone of blue, especially in the face area, to make it a bit more real.

Here is a pic of what i mean. The collor of the lizard around the eye and other facial features, although still blue, change.

Think your color palate for this model is awesome, in fact I am going to steal it to do mine.

My only change would adding a little more shadowed tones under the lips of the armor where plates meet the hide. And that is just me being knit-picky, I think it looks great.

I think the gem looks good. I really like the way the whole shell glows with the Solar Engine. I'm planning to run mostly Arks of Sotek myself though, so it will be a while before I try to steal your motif.
