Time to bash up the second oldest race...

As always, the setup is Blade of Realities OB/Blade of Revered Tzunki/Scim of Sun Resplendent + Maiming Shield. Percentage is chance to kill, decimal is number of kills expected.

    Mounts
    Griffon 86.1% 44.5% 50.1%
    Sun Dragon 83.6% 29.2% 30.5%
    Moon Dragon 52.7% 1.25 17.1%
    Star Dragon 35.3% 1.25 12.0%
As ever, the Blade of Realities cleans up against multi wound targets. You'll note that for things with 6 or more wounds, the BoRT can't possibly kill them, so I put in the average number of wounds. Also of note, against the star dragon, the BoRT does the highest number of average wounds because of the fact he has str6 and ignores armor. He comes close to overtaking the multi-attack Lord vs. the Sun Dragon, and out-wounds it on average against the two older dragons. It's just, he doesn't have enough attacks to actually kill it! Combined with a Carnosaur though, you have a better chance of killing the Moon and Star Dragons with the BoRT than the SoSR+MS.

    Core
    Archers 2.93 2.78 4.44
    Spearmen 2.93 2.78 4.44
    Sea Guard(HW/Shield)2.60 2.78 3.70
The 8 attack OB really comes into his own against high elf rank and file. The big factor is wounding on 2's and the fact that most of them only have 5+ armor. The BoRT shows his normal maxed out rolls, as his str 6 and ignore armor save is completely pointless against standard elves. The Blade of Realities doesn't manage much better than BoRT, because all high elves have at least Ld 8.

    Special
    Swordmasters 2.20 2.08 3.33
    Phoenix Guard 1.71 1.39 2.22
    White Lions 2.93 2.78 4.44
    Silver Helms (with shield)1.93 2.78 2.22
    Dragon Princes 1.71 2.78 2.22
    Ellyrian Reavers 2.93 2.78 4.44
    Shadow Warriors 2.93 2.78 4.44
    Tiranoc Chariot 78.6% 52.7% 61.0%
    Lion Chariot of Chrace76.6% 52.7% 54.0%
High elves sure do have a lot of special choices! The Swordmasters' weapon skill cuts back the standard numbers we saw in core, otherwise the same. The Phoenix Guard are a pretty tough nut to crack, because of their 4+ ward and their Ld9! White Lions die like standard elves, but are stubborn so will probably be happy to tarpit your Lord if you charge them. Silver Helms with their high armor and Ld give the BoRT lord a chance to shine, as do the Dragon Princes, who have an extra point of Ld to confound the Blade. The reaver fast cav and shadow warrior skirmishers die like the core elves. Finally the chariots are not surprisingly easiest killed by the BoR, but they aren't heavily defended so the high attack OB comes in second.

    Rare
    Repeater Bolt Thrower2.93 2.78 4.44
    Great Eagle 82.2% 64.1% 72.3%
Crew of course die like typical elves, and the great eagle dies like a typical lightly armored multi wound monster.

Anyhow, that's the rundown of the High Elves. The SoSR+MS will serve you well against the largest chunk of the army. If you are concerned with dragons and chariots, the BoR will be your friend, while if you are concerned about silver helms and dragon princes, BoRT is the way to go.

Probably the most important thing against HE will be surviving even if you charge. Tend to your defenses, and don't charge things with enormous strength or killing blow. Salamanders and skinks will annoy them quite literally to death though.

First one to call out an army decides what comes next!

Somebody told me that Skaven can pass on a challange with no ill effects, so if that's true I guess the sword might not be as great on them.

Blade of realities can be used outside of challenges... so no worries!

Yeah against the fragile elves with really high leadership, I think I would much rather have 8 s5 attacks than the blade of realities. Will carve them up. Good point is made to make sure you have good armour if not a ward save since they do all strike first. I probably wouldn't put a blade of realities lord against a HE prince at all, if he is silly enough to take a prince in the first place let it get killed by something weaker like saurus units. And of course hero choices should not be the main target of the blade of realities...

Just playing around with it, I've found that BoR vs. heroes is worth it if it is a highly defended character. Usually any defense stacking at all will make Ld 9 heroes easier to take down with BoR than the others. The leadership is a problem, but when the defenses get really extreme the Ld stays the same. Ld 9 heroes and Lords, I would say go for it. Every hit you do, they have a 1/6 chance of dying.
