Last week I played a 2500 game vs Beastmen. You can read about it here: http://skinksofwinter.blogspot.com/2013/07/beastmen.html Please let me know any crazy-dumb things you see me do, or any place where I just got lucky. I feel like I'm getting better just by writing these reports and reviewing my play, but any advice would be appreciated! I've got a Old Blood/Carnosaur led army ready for my game tonight, so my next battle report should go pretty differently than the last few.
Great read, that one! One thing I simply cannot understand is giving venom to a saurus hero. There's a 6th of a chance you wont have to roll to wound, but without it you've already got 4 or 5 6ths of a chance at wounding it anyway. Have you had any particular luck with it? I reckon that sacrificing the unit of Saurus to keep the doombull busy was the right choice, and is probably what I'd do against a demon prince (applying some of your techniques to my game tonight!). I also like the wide skrox for the fire/stand and fire combo. With that, you can pretty much make the opposition face which ever direction you like with quick to fire. I did notivce that the terradons were not contributing much this time, but that's ok as it kept things busy so as not to charge your important units. Overall, a pretty good outcome!
