Hi I'm playing this battle royale tommorrow which means i will be fighting 3 different armies at the same time(it's kind of a free for all battle). And the main idea is to hold objectives and have your general survive. So here is my list and i can always use some feedback Lords Slann (His bonuses instead of the named items etc.) Can only take magic damage, Loremaster, Magic resist 3, Cupped hands, Free powerdice per spell attempt, BSB, Lore of Life = 495 points Heroes Scar vet Great wepon, light armor, and 50 points on magic items. I haven't found the magic items I wanna use so I could use some help with it. = 141 points Core units Saurus Warriors 30 with full command and spears = 390 points Skink skirmishers 20 (2x10) with blowpipes = 140 points Special Units Templeguard 21 with full command and a Skavenpelt banner (Frenzy until defeated in combat, and hatred against skaven) = 396 points Rare Units Salamander Hunting Packs 2 salamanders with extra handlers = 160 points Ancient Stegadon = 275 points All in all = 1997 points
I see no point to ethereal inside a TG unit. 3 more TG will usually be better. Magic resistance is rarely worth having at all, but if you really want it, the common magic item is cheaper than the Discipline. I also think discard 6s is far better than either of those powers, although that might vary based upon how you handle magic in a multi-player game. If you don't know what you want to give him, that means you don't have a reason to include him at all. If you want him to add S7 attacks to the TG unit, Armour of Destiny is probably the way to go, and adding a cold one to that is likely a good idea. Illegal - that banner is skink only.
oh damn did not see the banner thing, and the idea of the scar vet is just the exact combination i had not figured out yet. And the reason why I'm building the Slann like that is to make him more save, since I will meet a skaven, orcs and goblins and tomb kings in the batte. Those armies can be magic heavy and he will most likely not get hurt by the warmachines and spells they with that combo. The only real threat to him that way is shooting with a magical warmachine with a template shot. Since his unit will most likely not get run down, when they have the sacred duty rule. This way he will be able to throw spell like a mothaf****r all rounds and hold objectives well. But I'm considering taking a skink chief with a stegadon warspear on my ancient stegadon instead of the banner etc.
