Does anyone think this is worth buying? I'm not really sure about the value of AoS battletomes, I'm not really that into the idea of playing AoS at all, but I've got all the other Lizardman books and it does look kind of nice with its whispers of metallic ink and stuff like that. It is a bit sad that it doesn't include an equivelant of the objective tokens that 40k limited edition Codexes have.

Anyway I was wondering what people thought the ups and downs were, what they could have included and didn't, what the selling points are, if it is good enough.

Preordered the normal version, I don't think the extra for the limited edition is worth it.

    Looking forward to it!

Personally I don't think any of GW's "Limited Edition" books are worth it. The price is just way too high and you really don't get much more than the standard edition. Especially since you say you're not into AoS all that much, why fork over that kind of money? I'd suggest sticking with the regular edition.

I guess I just like the idea of getting a limited edition for once. It's more of a bookshelf thing than an I want to play AoS thing but if reading it and enjoying the art in it gets me back into painting my square based Lizardmen then it might be worth it for that too.

    £85, many quadloons.

Hmm... When I'm gonna buy a book then it will be in a so distant future, that I don't think I will be able to get the limited edition...
Would actually be the first time I get an army book on my own...

The E book version is £20 I think that is good value but I love having the books next to me when I paint so I went for the standard version, I'm now really considering going to round bases...........

Still no new warscrolls for Seraphon units.

Preordered the Limited edition, just seems nicley made and I'm a sucker for nice books for my shelf and I actually enjoy enjoy playing AoS quite a bit.
I'm thinking of framing the art work card thingies that come with the limited edition to hang around my painting corner :p
I'm looking forward to the fluff and as far as I understood the battletome will have some new formations too, or rather constelations.
By the way, anyobdy else seen the 757€ box of seraphon on GW website???

I have to say I'm really happy with it, it looks and feels great! the artwork is awesome and the binding too. As for content, I've only gotten so far but I'm in love with the fluff and the rules section/battleplans look awesome too!
At last a decent tribute for the all mighty Lizardmen/Seraphon :D

It arrived today. (Oh, I buckled and bought it because of 'feeble justifications' :p )
It's very nice, sleek waxy and it has that rich ink smell that I love like I like plasti-crack. I'm not sure if it is worth the price but I don't regret it. I've got enough unpainted models right now that buying more would make me feel sad and if this gets me to pick up my paintbrush and hobby on then it will be a good use of my hobby budget.

Shiny scales do not a great warrior make. No, never get the limited editions. Also, I wish there was a AoS/WHFB version of wh40klib.

it's not that it's better, but it's a nice thing to have as a collector.

Exactly this. Besides, good looking alternatives are good if you're into that sort of thing.
